The FIP Platinum Veracruz is approaching its decisive turning point. The day is dedicated to the women's semi-finals and the men's quarter-finals, with a double stake: access to the final four and the 300 points at stake, important in the race for the Barcelona Finals.

Aranzazu Osoro and Victoria Iglesias continue their run. Outside the top 16 of the Race to Dubai at the start of the week, they won an important match against Jessica Castelló and Lorena Rufo (7-6, 5-7, 6-4). This victory earns them a semi-final match against Lucia Sainz and Raquel Eugenio.
In the other half of the draw, Jimena Velasco and Marta Barrera will face Martina Fassio and Patty Llaguno, the latter having secured their place thanks to a solid victory against Bea Caldera and Carmen Goenaga.

On the men's side, almost all the favorites are in the quarterfinals. Javi Leal and Lucas Bergamini dominated their match against Enrique Goenaga and Luis Hernandez (6-3, 6-4). Javi Garrido and Lucas Campagnolo had to work hard to overcome Fede Mouriño and Rama Valenzuela in three sets (4-6, 6-3, 6-4). They will now face the number 1 seeds.

The other posters of the day complete a very open picture:
– Libaak / Bautista vs. Tello / Alonso
– Sanz / Goñi against Cepero / Torre
– Ruiz/Esbri vs. Gonzalez/Guerrero
