The first part of the international season, which began on February 24 with the P1 in Riyadh, Premier Padel was marked by 14 tournaments that put the organisms to the test. The summer break, at the end of the Finnish stage (July 29 – August 4), was therefore more than welcome for the gladiators of the “20×10”, some of whose favorite destinations we were able to see on Instagram.
What were the vacation spots of each? As indicated on the site Padel Spain, a very large number of senior players from the circuit have been spotted around the Spanish islands in the Mediterranean. This is particularly the case of Gemma Triay, Carolina orsi and Rodrigo Ovide, seen at Rafael Nadal's academy (Majorca) and then in Minorca. Gemma Triay's birthplace, Minorca has also seen Marta Ortega, while Mallorca welcomed Vero Virseda or, Ari Sánchez – among others. The Portuguese player Sofia Araujo as well as'Arturo Coello were seen in the Balearic Islands. As for Juan Lebrón, winner with Martín Di Nenno of the P2 of Finland, he went to Ibiza.
The Canary Islands, on the Atlantic side, were chosen by Marta Marrero who incidentally completed a stage of the FIP Tour in Gran Canaria, where she is from, as well as "Momo" Gonzalez. Other players have opted for more distant holidays, like Jon sanz – couple spotted in the Dominican Republic – orArturo Coello – who was found in the Seychelles with his fiancée.
Some players in the Top 10 seem to have been rather discreet about their vacation spots, such as Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto. Whether or not they took advantage of the beach, all had to hit the weight room and the ranges of the court to be competitive for the second half of this season.
And it starts this August 31, with the P1 in Madrid!
