Padel, a discipline that is booming throughout France, is preparing to conquer the Granville region with a major project: TCHOLE PADELThis fun sport, often played in doubles on a field surrounded by glass, is enjoying growing success thanks to its friendliness and ease of access.

A unique structure in the Granville region

In a region still lacking a covered structure, four local entrepreneurs are joining forces to offer residents of Coudeville-sur-Mer, near Granville, a complex dedicated to this discipline. Located in the Lande area, this project is based around a building of 500 m², soon to be expanded to 1 500 m², with an opening planned for the Spring 2025.

Why the name TCHOLÉ?

This original name echoes the Mexican roots of padel, but also the festive and friendly atmosphere that the creators wish to establish. With each point won, the expression "Tcholé" encourages celebration, reflecting a joyful and accessible vision of recreational sport.

A two-phase project

The development of TCHOLÉ PADEL will take place in two stages:

  1. Phase 1: April 2025
    • Two padel courts will be accessible: one for the classic format (2 against 2) and a “single” (1 against 1) for more intimate games.
    • The whole will be completely autonomous with an online reservation system and code access.
    • A changing room area will also be available.
  2. Phase 2: 2026
    • Expansion of the complex to 1 m², with the addition of four new padel courts.
    • Integration of badminton and pickleball courts (derived from mini-tennis).
    • Creation of a bar and restaurant area to reinforce the friendly aspect of the place.

A team of enthusiasts at the head of the project

The four partners, with varied and complementary profiles, are the driving forces behind this ambitious project. In alphabetical order:

  • Pierre Bellee, building project manager in Coutances.
  • Arnaud Boubet, manager of the La Moussette craft brewery in Hauteville-sur-Mer.
  • Jimmy Devaux, specialist in sporting events (Emzel in Caen) and ranked player 220th nationally.
  • Bruno Herbert, director of Torchio, leader in tile sales in Normandy.

A panoramic site for a unique place

The complex will benefit from an additional asset: a panoramic terrain particularly aesthetic, used during the recent Torchio FIP PadelShot in Caen, a successful event in January 2025. This land, rare in structures of this size, promises an exceptional playing experience.

A project that aims to become a place to live

With TCHOLE PADEL, Coudeville-sur-Mer is preparing to become an essential meeting point for fans of padel and other racket sports. More than a sports complex, this place aims to be a space for sharing and conviviality, anchored in the dynamism and festive spirit of its creators.
