Qualifying for the inaugural London P1 is in full swing, with three French players in contention. Thomas Leygue has already secured his place in the second round of qualifying, while Carla Touly and Louise Bahurel are preparing to enter the women's draw. Their goal is the same: to earn a spot in the main draw. 

Thomas Leygue is one win away from the main draw

Thomas Leygue made a perfect start to his London campaign. Partnered with Belgian Clément Geens (TS5), the French number one won  6 / 4 6 / 3  facing the Spanish-Argentine pair  Ferran Insa ( 108th)  Octavio Alvarez  (200th), thus securing his ticket for the final round of qualifying.

The Franco-Belgian pair will play their decisive match  this Monday, in the second rotation on track 3 Facing  Adrian ronco  (135e)  and Julian Lacamoire  (147e).

This match will bring back fond memories for Thomas Leygue. Just a few days ago, during the Pretoria P1 qualifiers, the Frenchman had already defeated Adrian Ronco to reach the main draw, before going on to reach the round of 16 alongside Pablo Sanchez.

Carla Touly faces a top seed

In the women's table,  Carla Toully  will also try to join the main draw.

The Frenchwoman will team up with  Lucia Peralta , temporary partner of Léa Godallier and winner of the  FIP Bronze from Marne-la-Coquette To enter the competition, they will have to overcome the  #8 seed in qualifying , made of  Carlotta Casali  (79e) and  Anna Dominguez  (68e).

A challenging first test, but far from impossible for a pair that has strong arguments in its favor.

Louise Bahurel wants to continue her momentum

The other French representative will be  Louise Bahurel , associated with the Spanish  Nerea Guerra .

The draw was not in their favor, as they will face the first team...  seed n ° 2 ,  Marta Borrero  (47e) and  Julia Polo  (50e).

Despite this significant challenge, Bahurel arrives in London with confidence.
