P1000 2V2 Cormeilles semi-finals offered two completely different scenarios this Sunday morning.
On one side, a a true high-level semi-final dominated by the number 1 seed.
On the other hand, a match quickly stopped by a withdrawal, at the end of a huge run for the surprise of the tournament.
Gortzounian / Filho impose their law
The first semi-final pitted the seeded 1 Charles Gortzounian / Clément Filho , 3rd seed Jules Marie / Thomas Lelarge .
And in this highly anticipated clash, it was indeed the favorites who lived up to expectations.
Clear victory: 6/1 6/4 in 48 minutes .
A big match for the number 1 seed
From the beginning of the meeting, Gortzounian and Filho get off to a strong start and gradually increase in intensity.
We have notably seen a very big Clément Filho , particularly accurate in his choices, very clean in transitions and capable of making a huge difference in the game.
By his side, Charles Gortzounian also played a very solid match , well positioned diagonally, capable of accelerating at the right moment and causing significant damage in attacking phases, with several by 3 well-chosen .
Opposite, Jules Marie and Thomas Lelarge struggled to keep up with the pace set.
Too many mistakes for Marie / Lelarge
Si Jules Mary found a bit more rhythm in the second set and tried to hang on, the pair Marie / Lelarge overall lacked the consistency needed to truly turn the game around.
The statistical observation is quite clear:
- 23 unforced errors for Marie / Lelarge
- against only 13 for Gortzounian / Filho
But above all, the favorites were much more decisive:
- 32 winning points
- salary. 18 only for their opponents
So, a match then overall under control by the number 1 seed, which fully confirms its status.

Dammak / Ben Lallahom stop after abandonment
In the other semi-final, the scenario was completely different.
La 7th seed Cyril Roulleau / Antoine Du Gardin faced the Surprise of the tournament: Mohamed Melek Dammak / Khalil Ben Lallahom .
And it must be emphasized: their journey up to that point had been enormous.
They had successively brought down:
- la 2nd seed Dufour / Petitdidier
- Then 8th seed Durban / Henrion
A very big tournament then, but the adventure came to an abrupt end in the semi-finals.
A 4-0 withdrawal
Visibly fatigued after their superb run, Dammak / Ben Lallahom were unable to fully defend their chances.
While they were being led 4-0 Mohamed Melek Dammak was forced to abandon the race, thus leaving Roulleau / Du Gardin to reach the final.
A frustrating outcome for them, but one that doesn't detract from the quality of their weekend.
A final between TS1 and TS7
The final of P1000 2V2 Cormeilles will therefore oppose:
Gortzounian / Filho (TS1) vs Roulleau / Du Gardin (TS7)
A match between the tournament's top favorites and an outsider pair who took advantage of opportunities to reach the end.
The final will be broadcast at 13 p.m.
A final match that will conclude this P1000 2V2 Cormeilles , with a The number 1 seed was logically present… but a title that will still have to be won on the track.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
