Le  P1000 4Padel Strasbourg  delivered its verdict this Sunday morning. After two semi-finals with very different scenarios, the final will pit the  Top seed Simon Wagner / Julien Motz  ,  6th seed Groll / Garcia , authors of a magnificent run this week in Alsace.

Wagner and Motz win the clash of the left-handers

The first semi-final pitted two particularly dangerous teams against each other: the favorites  Simon Wagner / Julien Motz  face  Albano Olivetti / Axel Kursun .

And the show lived up to expectations.

After a hard-fought match, the two left-handed players from the number 1 seed emerged victorious.  7 / 6 7 / 6 , in a match where each team had its moments of dominance.

The match was marked by numerous breaks and re-breaks. The rallies often swung from one side to the other, with neither team managing to gain a decisive advantage.

But in the most crucial moments, particularly during the two tie-breaks, Wagner and Motz displayed their experience. More effective on the decisive points, they were also able to rely on better control of unforced errors with  36 fouls compared to 49 for their opponents .

Offensively, Simon Wagner also caused a lot of problems on the left side, an unusual position for him, with several winning smashes that made a difference.

A solid victory that confirms their status as tournament favorites.

Groll and Garcia continue their incredible journey

In the other semi-final,  Groll and Garcia  continued their superb week.

After pulling off the big move by eliminating the  seeded 2  In the quarter-finals, they confirmed their form against the tournament's surprise package.  Fog / Nightshade .

They arrived with confidence after successively eliminating the 4th and then 5th seeds.

But Groll and Garcia once again rose to the occasion. After a tight first set won in a tie-break, they took control of the match to secure the victory.  7 / 6 6 / 1 .

 A great final in prospect

The final will therefore oppose the  top seed Wagner / Motz  ,  6th seed Groll / Garcia .

On one side, the tournament favorites who lived up to expectations throughout the weekend. On the other, the surprise team of this edition, which has already taken down several top pairs and will try to finish its run in style.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
