Heading to AS Mantaise Tennis Padel for a men's P1000 that promises to be a spectacle, with a field of rare density. No less than 20 players in the French top 100 will be there, proof of the quality of the tournament. Headlining: Yann Auradou and Adrien Maigret, finalists of the last P2000 from Cabriès, who will logically leave big favorites of the competition.
Strong competition and familiar faces
Behind the number 1 seed, several pairs will have their say:
- Clément Filhol / Charles Gortzounian (TS2), in great form this season.
- Lucas Pillon / Olivier Guy de Chamisso (TS3), a duo to watch closely.
- And especially, the most talked-about pair of the weekend : Cyril Hanouna associated with his lifelong partner, Teo Zapata, 49th player in the world. A combination that will definitely attract a large audience.
Other top seeds to watch include:
- Benjamin Dufour / Paul Dornberger (TS5), regulars of P1000s.
- The Northerners Adrien Dandois / Pierre Destombes (TS6), who will form a competitive pair.
Atypical profiles and expected surprises
We will also note the presence of the professional tennis player Jules Marie, associated to Jerome Inzerillo, 15th French player and former member of the French team. The two men, who had created a surprise during the last P1500 in La Ciotat by reaching the semi-finals, could well play spoilsport.
Early kick-off and live streaming
Warning, The last 16 will exceptionally begin on Friday, unlike the traditional format which usually starts on Saturday.
All matches played on the central track will be followed live on Padel MagTV, with comments: Laurent Fabresse, a well-known player and referee on the circuit.
