Damien Bayard et Pierre-Vincent won the P1000 of the C5 Stadium at the end of a spectacular finale , completed with a score of 6/4 4/6 7/6 face Adrien Maigret et Simon Wagner . A fight of more than 2:20 , concluded at decisive tie-break , in an electric atmosphere.
A breathtaking finale until the end
The match started strongly, with a very balanced first set where Bayard and Vincent manage to make the difference on key points. The duo takes the lead ( 6/4 ) before seeing Maigret et Wagner react.
Touched at the start of the second inning, Adrien Maigret continues despite the pain, and this small incident paradoxically seems to revive the opposing pair, who equalize at one set each ( 4-6 ).
Le third set is a total showdown, where every point counts. Trailing in the tie-break, Bayard and Vincent demonstrate a great mental strength , coming back from far away to win 8/6 , at the end of the suspense.
Another victory for the in-form duo
In the semi-final, the two men had already impressed by outclassing Jerome Inzerillo et Antoine-Jean Martelli ( 6 / 3 6 / 1 ). Adrien Maigret et Simon Wagner had dominated on their side Alexis Coulombeau and Jérémy Garcia (TS1) 6/3 6/2 in a solid match, controlled from start to finish.
The bosses of French padel
After their successes on the last two P1500 , Bayard and Vincent confirm their status as reference of French padel . They thus succeed Benjamin Tison et Adrien Forcin , winners of the first edition.
Between high level of play , public on fire et organization worthy of a major tournament , this edition of the P1000 C5 Stadium kept all its promises.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
