The very first P1000 organized at the C5 Stadium in Bastia kept its promises for this first day of competition. Unsurprisingly, the favorites all responded, to start with Adrien Maigret and Benjamin Tison, who made an impression as soon as they entered the competition.

Hanouna back on the slopes

One of the events of the day was the Cyril Hanouna returns to competition, associated to the Spaniard Aitor Garcia. Objective for the facilitator: collect points to stay in the French top 100.

Opposites in 1/8 final at seed number 10 Fabre/Malbranque, Hanouna and Garcia resisted in the first set. But after a decisive break at the end of the round, Malbranque, former professional footballer, took the upper hand in a right diagonal dominated : victory 7/5 6/3 for Fabre/Malbranque.

Maigret / Tison in demonstration

For their first match, Adrien Maigret and Benjamin Tison sent a strong message. Faced with Jérôme Inzerillo and François Martelli, the elders French number 1 have not left no game to their opponents : 6/0 6/0. A quick start for the big favorites of the tournament.

Molinero / Toppin solid against the locals

En quarterfinal, the number 2 seed Molinero/Toppin showed itself to be very solid against the Corsican pair Prod'homme / Boilevin. Despite the combativeness of the triple champion of Corsica, the outsiders failed to reverse the trend: 6/2 6/4.

Tison / Maigret too strong for Vincent / Authier

The most anticipated match of the day was between Maigret / Tison à Pierre Vincent / François Authier, seeded number 5. A tight start to the match, with missed opportunities for Vincent/Authier, and palpable tension in the stands.

It is Adrien Maigret, very offensive, who made the difference in the first set, achieving two breaks to win 6/2. In the second, Benjamin Tison took over with an inspired and spectacular game, allowing the pair to conclude in complete control: 6/2 6/3.

Mitjana and Auradou secure their place in the semi-finals

The most balanced match of the quarterfinals pitted Cancel / Gourre à Mitjana / Auradou. After a first set lost, Mitjana and Auradou managed to turn the situation around: 3/6 6/4 6/0. A great performance which opens the doors to a 100% Parisian semi-final face Tison / MaigretAn unprecedented confrontation, but unbalanced on paper. Is the feat possible?

Semi-finals: a very tough program

In the upper part of the table, the semi-final will oppose Muesser / Garcia à Toppin / Molinero. A promising duel between two solid pairs who have not yet been really put in difficulty since the start of the tournament. The ranking of the four players is quite close, which suggests a close match.
