The seeded 2 Julien Motz and Guillaume Olivier imposed itself on P1000 Casa Padel Very Mulhouse, after a controlled final against Jérémy Macchi and Thomas Brechemier (7/5 6/4).

A progressive domination

From the very first exchanges, Motz and Olivier showed their superiority. Very aggressive at the net, they dictated the pace, with a Julien Motz omnipresent in the center, multiplying the winning points. Opposite, Macchi and Brèchemier tear themselves away in each service game, often pushed to the advantage.

They resist up to 5/5, before the seed 2 does not make the decisive break. solid they conclude the set 7/5.

Macchi in difficulty

In the second round, the dynamic remains the same: Motz and Olivier quickly take the lead, taking advantage of Macchi's unforced errors (40 for his team in the match). Despite a small surge from the 3rd seed with a break at 3/4, logic quickly took over. A new break allowed Motz and Olivier to race towards victory (6/4).

A deserved first title

This success marks the first P1000 won this season by Motz and Olivier. The duo was able to gain momentum throughout the tournament:

  • 1/16: victory 6/1 3/6 6/2 after a trap match
  • 1/8: 6/4 6/0 against Rouanet / Sidot
  • 1/2: 7/5 6/2 against Lelarge / Coirault
  • Final: 7/5 6/4 against Macchi / Brèchemier

A logical and constructed victory for a homogeneous pair, mentally and tactically strong, which is winning here in Mulhouse.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
