On P1000 Le Hangar quarter-finals lived up to their promises with close matches and a nice surprise from an unseeded pair.

In the first quarter, Roger Arumi-Siquier and Marc-Édouard Chavey (TS2) dominated Lanchen Seghiri and Timéo Fonteny on the score of 7 / 6 6 / 2.
The first set was a close one: Timéo and Lanchen managed to break away at 5/3 to force a tie-break, but a Marc-Édouard Chavey very inspired made the difference, especially on his left diagonal where he managed to outwit Timéo. After a tie-break won 7/3, the second set turned to the advantage of the duo Arumi-Siquier / Chavey, solid and constant until the end.

La seeded 1, Boronad / Verdier, confirms its status with a controlled victory 6 / 4 6 / 2 face Stroppiana / Fauvelle.
On their side, Dugardin / Roulleau (ts3) win in three rounds 6/4 3/6 6/2 face Perrot / Hue, after a balanced duel where they knew how to make a difference in the last set.

But the good move of the day comes from Alvergnas and Cipri (TS11), authors of a superb run. After eliminating the seed 5 The Belly / Barthe in the eighth, they repeated the feat in the quarterfinals by taking out the brothers Samitier (TS4) 6/0 5/7 6/3A solid performance that propels them into the last four.

The semi-finals will see:

  • Arumi-Siquier / Chavey (ts2) vs Alvergnas / Cipri (ts11)
  • Boronad / Verdier (ts1) vs Dugardin / Roulleau (ts3)

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
