The quarter-finals of P1000 from Lattes Padel Club kept their promises with several surprises and a picture that clearly opens up as the final square approaches.
The 3rd and 4th seeds are out.
First big piece of information: the fall of the top seed 3 , du Gardin / Sanchez , beaten in the quarter-finals by the TS8 Tullou / Vial A real surprise that completely reshuffles this part of the picture.
Another striking fact was the early elimination of the TS4 Étienne / Le Panse eliminated in the round of 16 by Armand / Master which confirm their rise to power.
Brechemier / Solid and efficient water bottles
La TS2 Rémi Gourre / Thomas Brechemier held its own against Armand / Pasquier (TS7) with a win 6 / 4 6 / 3 in less than an hour.
A closer match than it seems:
- So many opportunities for a break on both sides
- but better management of key moments on the TS2 side
Armand and Pasquier led in the first set, without capitalizing, before faltering in the important moments.
Armand / Master impress
Great performance of Master / Armand , which dominate Perrin / Cipri 7 / 6 6 / 0 .
After a close first set, the second was one-way :
- Master wreaks havoc with his smash
- Armand ultra solid
- On the other side, there was no further response.
A clear victory that propels them as very serious outsiders .
Diaz/Rubio secure their status
La TS1 Diaz / Rubio continues its flawless run by dominating Fauvelle / Stroppiana .
The favorites are living up to expectations and confirming their status as the pair to beat in this tournament.
Open semi-finals
The final four are now known:
- Diaz / Rubio (TS1) vs Armand / Maître
- Brechemier / Gourre (TS2) vs Tullou / Vial (TS8)
Between strong favorites and confident outsiders, everything remains open.
See you on Sunday
The semi-finals are to be followed tomorrow from 10am live on Padel MagTV .
The tournament enters its decisive phase… with surprises still possible.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
