Le P1000 Padel touch has already made its mark among padel tournaments in France, with a real massacre among the seeded players, and the absence of seeded players 1 to 4 in the semi-finals.
Worse still, the number 2 seed, Mannarino/Armagnac, lost in two sets to Cazes Carrère/Insausti. This result, although surprising, is not a huge surprise given the quality of the two players. One would have thought that this victory would take them at least to the semi-finals. And yet, the number 5 seed, Wagner/Moura, decided otherwise by winning brilliantly in two sets, 7/6 6/4. We will note in passing the return to form of Baptiste Moura, author of a great performance alongside the Alsatian Simon Wagner.
In the upper part of the draw, the number 3 seed, Pech/Hugounenq, lost to the solid pair De Meyer/Pillon, also in two sets (6/4 6/4). For Dorian De Meyer, this tournament is a breath of fresh air after a few setbacks, particularly on the FIP Tour.
So we will have a semi-final between the number 5 seed and the number 8 seed.
In the lower part of the draw, the same scenario: Trancart/Pérez won against the number 4 seed, Grué/Seux, in two tight sets (7/5 7/5). A motivating victory, especially for Nicolas Trancart, who has not always been successful in his last tournaments. They will face the number 7 seed, Pérez le Tiec/Lozano, in the semi-final, a pair that is not really a surprise. This team plays quickly forward and is formidable. The number 1 seed, Rouanet/Sanchez, paid the price, with a defeat in three sets (6/4 5/7 7/5). For Sanchez/Rouanet, things still do not seem to be going well…
So in this second semi-final we will have a clash between the number 6 seed and the number 7 seed.
The matches will be broadcast live on Padel TV Mag from 10am. (apparently, Trancart/Perez vs. Lozano/Perez Le Tiec)
