The number 1 seed lived up to expectations at  P1000 PadelShot Metz .  Julien Motz  et  Guillaume Ledrap  prevailed in the final against the third seed,  Eliot Deknuydt  et  Loris Morvan , on the score of  4/6 6/1 6/2 .

A victory built over time for the favorites, who managed to completely reverse the momentum after a poor start to the first set.

A first set in favor of Morvan and Deknuydt

The start of the match clearly belongs to the third seed. We see a very good  Loris Morvan , particularly accurate in his choices and very effective in the game at the back.

With  Eliot Deknuydt Both players manage to avoid their opponents' powerful smashes as much as possible and impose their rhythm. On the other side,  Guillaume Ledrap  is struggling and finding it difficult to get into the final.

À  4/4 Deknuydt and Morvan strike at the perfect moment, securing the decisive break before closing out the set.  6/4 .

The reaction of the favorites

Having fallen behind for the first time in the tournament, Motz and Ledrap immediately rallied.

The second set took on a completely different character. The favorites picked up the pace, came to the net more often, and significantly increased their intensity. Meanwhile, Deknuydt and Morvan began to make more errors.

Mostly,  Julien Motz  He gradually takes control of the match. With his left foot, he inflicts enormous damage and racks up winning shots. Alongside him,  Guillaume Ledrap  regains his form and proves to be much stronger.

The result is clear:  6/1 .

A one-sided end to the match

The third set is similar to the second.

Motz and Ledrap play intelligently, are more aggressive, and commit very few unforced errors. The statistics perfectly illustrate this dominance:  39 winning points against 25  et  26 unforced errors against 31  in favor of the number 1 seed.

Conversely,  Eliot Deknuydt  gradually faded, making a series of mistakes and no longer able to resist the pressure imposed by his opponents.

The favorites finally conclude the match  6/2  and claim the title.

A solid tournament from start to finish

This final was ultimately the only moment of uncertainty of the weekend for  Motz and Ledrap who had not lost a single set before this first act.

They thus confirmed their status as favorites and left Metz with the trophy. This is the  Guillaume Ledrap's first title of the season  and  Julien Motz's new P1000 , author once again of a very big tournament.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
