Du 22 to 25 may, Reunion Island will host the P1000 from Reunion Padel -. An event that promises to be particularly competitive with the presence of several big players on the French circuit et three pairs that seem to stand out in the title race.

Molinero / Toppin: the men to beat

At the top of series 1, we find Nicolas Molinero (23rd French) et Alexandre Toppin (27th). Both men are coming off a good performance in the WinWin P2000 Padel Cabriès, where they ended up 5e. Molinero is also in good form, with a title in his pocket recently won at the P1000 Tennis Padel Cap d'Agde, alongside Norman Sanchez. Their consistency and experience make them a perfect pair tournament favorite.

Coulombeau / Wagner: a confident pair

Just behind, as seed 2, we find Alexis Coulombeau (20th) et Simon Wagner (30th)The two players had already achieved a good result together, in last april with a 3rd place in the P1500 of PadelShot Saint-Etienne. Last week, Coulombeau shone again by achieving 3rd place in the P2000 from Cabriès with Jérémy Garcia, coming close to a feat against the Tison / Forcin pair. Wagner, meanwhile, finished 11th with Benjamin Grue. In this tournament, the shape of Coulombeau's moment could well make the difference.

Perez / Pichon de Bury: the locals to watch

Behind these two big pairs, the seeded 3 is composed of Leo Perez (38th) et Alexandre Pichon from Bury (44th)The two players, used to playing together, have already won two P1000s on the island this year, including the last one at Kaz at Padel AprilThey are the locals of the tournament and are determined to win the title at home.

Moreau / Gutsein: the outsiders

At the top of series 4, we find Sylvain Moreau (92nd) et Romain Gutsein (94th). A more discreet pair on paper, but which could well play the party pooper in this tournament.

A very open tournament with a good level of density

Behind these four seeds, we find many players ranked in the French top 500, proof of the attractiveness of this Reunion tournament. If the logic is respected, a semi-final between TS2 and TS3 could take place, with a place in the final at stake.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
