Yoan Boronad / Théo Barthe  went to the end of  P1000 Set Padel Narbonne The third seed won the final against  Mattis Perrot / Thomas Messina (TS4)  on the score of  6 / 4 7 / 6 .

A victory that concludes a particularly close tournament for both men, who went through three three-set matches before the final and made a great comeback in the semi-final.

Three matches in three sets before the final

The course of  Boronad / Barthe  It was anything but a smooth ride.

Even before reaching the final, the two players had to compete  three matches in three sets , including a completely crazy semi-final against  Victor Deligne / David Soleirol .

Trailing in the third set, they had even had to  save a match point  before turning the game around and winning  6/3 3/6 7/5 .

It goes without saying that by the time they entered the track for the final, Boronad and Barthe had already given their all.

A bad start quickly forgotten

Facing  Perrot / Messina , however, the start of the final went in favor of the 4th seed.

Boronad/Barthe concede an early break and quickly find themselves behind.  0/2 .

But their reaction is immediate.

They win  four consecutive games regain control of the set and then manage to maintain their advantage until the end.

First round:  6/4 .

A second set that was much more disjointed.

The second set is much more uneven.

The first four games were won without the receivers scoring a single point, a sign of a set where the dynamics sometimes fluctuated considerably.

The level of play varies, but neither pair really manages to gain the upper hand.

Ultimately, everything hinges on the  tie-breaker .

And in this decisive game,  Boronad / Barthe  are the strongest in important moments.

They conclude the match in two sets and clinch the title.

Barthe crowned for his club's three-year anniversary

This victory inevitably has a special flavor for  Théo Barthe .

The player is both  representative and manager of the Set Padel Narbonne , club which was celebrating its  three years  on the occasion of this P1000.

Despite some less consistent volleys, Barthe had a huge impact thanks to his offensive power and his smashes.

A home title that comes at the perfect time.

Boronad extends his birthday

For  Yoan Boronad The wink is just as nice.

The fourth French player had celebrated his  19 years old the day before  on the track.

Twenty-four hours later, he gave himself another gift with this title.

Less involved than his partner in the final, Boronad was very solid defensively and particularly reliable in important moments.

Perrot and Messina will have to wait a little longer.

Opposite,  Mattis Perrot / Thomas Messina  will inevitably have some regrets.

Both players have shown that they have the tools to play at this level, but it will still be some time before they win their first P1000 title.

This final could nevertheless have interesting consequences for the standings, with  Mattis Perrot, who should return to the French top 100 , While  Thomas Messina continues to get closer to it .

Boronad / Barthe succeed Cancel / Gortzounian

With this success,  Yoan Boronad / Théo Barthe  add their name to the tournament's list of winners.

They follow  Ludovic Cancel / Charles Gortzounian , winners last year in Narbonne.

And given their journey, between three three-set battles, a match point saved in the semi-final and a final perfectly managed in the key moments, it is difficult to imagine a more memorable scenario to conclude this weekend.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
