Big surprise at P1000 South Padel with a superb victory for Raphaël Rubio, 22 years old, 81st French player, and Louis Jover, 18 years old, 86th French player, against the number 1 seed of the tournament, Loic Le Panse, 18th, and Arthur Hugounenq, 21st, in the quarter-finals. Score: 7/6 6/4.

Louis Jover returned to this quarter-final to Padel Magazine :

“Before the match we knew it was going to be tough and a big fight, because they were the No. 1 seeds and we know they are two very good players. So we started the match at 200% with an entry break. Unfortunately, we were caught two games later on a gold point, but we were able to remain solid until the tie-break which we won 7/4 by following a simple pattern.

We approached the second set keeping the same intensity and the same tactics, everyone winning their service games until 5/4. We then returned for the match, further increasing our intensity and our level a notch to get this break and the victory!”

During the P1500 in Bandol, Louis Jover explained to us already seeing his level rise and gain in regularity. This P1000 South Padel in Montpellier thus confirms this increase in speed. Next match against Cazes Carrere / Insausti (ts5) who also had to put out a big match in the quarter against ts3 Ferrara / Delvienne in 3 sets: 6/7 6/3 6/4.

The match will be watched live at 10 a.m. on Padel Mag TV with Vincent Gallié on commentary.

In the other semi-final, we will find the scarecrows Grué / Vanbauce, more than ever favorites of the competition, facing Forichon / Brouillard.
