The semi-finals delivered their verdict in Manosque with a contrasting scenario: the 2nd seed lived up to expectations, while the 1st seed fell to the sensation of the tournament.
Soleirol / Portales upset the top seed 1
An unexpected clash in this semi-final between Nicolas Molinero / Alexandre Toppin (TS1) and the surprise pair David Soleirol / Nino Portales (TS17), who defeated Taieb / Piombo and then Étienne / Lelarge without conceding a single set.
The start of the match was, however, perfectly controlled by the favorites. Molinero and Toppin broke serve immediately and maintained this advantage until the end to take the first set 6/4, without being really troubled.
In the second set, the two teams were evenly matched. TS1 had several break point opportunities but failed to capitalize. Soleirol and Portales battled back, increased their intensity, and ultimately clinched a tiebreak 7-5.
Riding this momentum, they started the third set with a bang, breaking serve twice and winning three consecutive games. The favorites rallied at the end of the set, but the underdog pair remained solid to close it out 6-4.
A surprise qualification for the final for two players ranked around 200th in France, who have had a remarkable run.
Suzanna / Testoni secure their status
In the other semi-final, Théo Suzanna / César Testoni (TS2) confirmed their status by dominating Mattis Perrot / Gabriel Maril.
Stronger in the important moments, more consistent in the exchange, they were able to impose their rhythm to secure a place in the final without faltering.
An open finale
The final will therefore oppose the TS2 Suzanna / Testoni to the surprise pair Soleirol / Portaleswho will arrive without any hang-ups after having already taken down several top seeds.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
