No one expected them to win such a tournament. Sami Iznasni and Raphaël Rubio won the P1500 at the Set Padel Club de Sète at the end of a perfectly controlled weekend. Having defeated Jules Marie / Julien Motz in the semi-final, they then dominated Timéo Fonteny and Nicolas Molinero in the final to clinch their first P1500 title.
A semi-final interrupted by Philemon Raichman's injury
The first semi-final pitted the No. 5 seeds against each other. Timéo Fonteny / Nicolas Molinero in Philemon Raichman / Quentin Ayuso , seeded No. 1.
Fonteny and Molinero quickly took control of the match. Very solid from the first exchanges, they took advantage of a difficult start from their opponents to easily win the first set.
The comeback came in the second set. Much more focused and playing with far greater precision, Philemon Raichman and Quentin Ayuso rediscovered their form. The match remained close until the tiebreak, which was won by the tournament favorites, leveling the score at one set apiece.
While the third set promised a great battle, the scenario took a dramatic turn. Philemon Raichman was injured and forced to retire, handing the qualification to Fonteny and Molinero.
Another blow for Raichman, already hampered in recent weeks by his split with Yanis Muesser. A rough patch for Phil.

Iznasni and Rubio overthrow Jules Marie and Julien Motz
In the other semi-final, Jules Marie and Julien Motz seemed to have done the hardest part by winning the first round 6/3 face Sami Iznasni and Raphaël Rubio .
But they refused to give up. Trailing in the second set, they even saved a match point before winning the tie-break and leveling the match at one set apiece.
Fueled by this incredible comeback, Iznasni and Rubio continued their momentum into the deciding set. More consistent in the crucial moments, they closed out the match. 6/4 and secure their place in the final, marking the tournament's biggest surprise in the process.

A final controlled from start to finish
Finally, Sami Iznasni and Raphaël Rubio They do not tremble. They prevail. 6 / 3 6 / 3 facing Timéo Fonteny and Nicolas Molinero to clinch their first P1500 title.
The match was a difficult one for Timéo Fonteny, who was visibly hampered after feeling pain early on. Never truly playing at his best, he was unable to perform at his peak.
On the other side, Iznasni and Rubio delivered a very solid performance. A true standout in this final, Sami Iznasni He unleashed his main weapon, the smash, racking up winning points at key moments.
By his side, Raphael Rubio has once again demonstrated all his qualities as a right-sided player: very few unforced errors, excellent game reading and valuable defense against the attacks of Fonteny and Molinero.
He tried for a long time to keep his team afloat, alternating between high-quality sequences and more inconsistent periods. But a few too many unforced errors at crucial moments ultimately tipped the scales.
Thanks to a perfectly executed tournament, Sami Iznasni and Raphaël Rubio offer the P1500 of the Set Padel Sète Club , the finest title of their career to date.
