The draw for the final men's P1500 tournament of the season opened up considerably in Sète. Three of the top eight seeds were eliminated in the round of 16: Couturier/Dumoulin, Sanchez/Mannarino, and Ledrap/Deknuydt. Petitdidier/Brechemier, Armand/Vial, and Contout/Forcin upset the rankings and will now try to continue their run in the quarterfinals played this Saturday. 

Petitdidier and Brechemier take down the No. 2 seed

The biggest surprise came from  Robin Petitdidier and Thomas Brechemier After already battling in the round of 32 against Verdier/Boutier, they eliminated  Tom Couturier and Arthaud Dumoulin , seeded No. 2, after a particularly close match:  7/6 6/7 6/4 .

They will face each other in the quarter-finals  Jules Marie and Julien Motz , seeded No. 6, winners against Pierre and Lucien Samitier  6 / 4 6 / 3 .

Armand and Vial eliminate the No. 3 seed

Another notable result: the victory of  Florian Armand and Romain Vial  salary.  Norman Sanchez and Morgan Mannarino , seeded No. 3.

Armand and Vial held on until the end of a hard-fought match to secure the victory.  6/3 3/6 7/5 . They will find  Timéo Fonteny and Nicolas Molinero , the No. 5 seeds, who also had to play three sets to eliminate Thibaud Pech and Benoît Théard:  3/6 6/4 7/5 .

Contout and Forcin take down the No. 7 seed

 Dimitri Contout and Maxime Forcin  also created a surprise by dominating  Guillaume Ledrap and Eliot Deknuydt , seeded No. 7, in two sets:  7 / 5 6 / 4 .

The challenge will be even greater in the quarter-finals, as they will face the tournament favorites.  Quentin Ayuso and Philémon Raichman The number 1 seed controlled his opening match against Lilian Fouré and Loïc Le Panse, with a victory  6 / 4 6 / 3 .
