It's now over for the  P1500 After several seasons in the French padel scene, the category held its last two tournaments this weekend before disappearing along with the  new organization of competitions starting in September .

In men, at  4PADEL Orléans-Fleury / Opposite Centre Loire ,  Pierre Vincent / Damien Bayard  perfectly concluded a category in which they have largely made their mark in recent months. Among the women, at  Home Insurance Padel Two ,  Laura Clergue / Marie Maligo  had to fight to the very end to get their name on the winners' list of the last women's P1500.

It's hard to imagine a more logical conclusion for men.

 Pierre Vincent and Damien Bayard (TS1)  They were among the favorites in Orléans and lived up to their status throughout the weekend. After notably overturning  Quentin Ayuso / Maxime Forcin (TS3)  in the semi-finals,  3/6 6/3 6/2 they were back in second place  Clément Filho / Charles Gortzounian  for a final between the two highest-ranked pairs in the tournament.

And in this last match of the men's P1500, Vincent / Bayard showed once again why they had become a benchmark in the category.

Victoire  6/3 6/4 in 1h14 , with a real difference made in the attacking game:  44 winning points against 29  for their opponents.

 Pierre-Vincent , particularly sharp, weighed heavily in the match, while Damien Bayard perfectly supported his partner to never let TS2 really take control.

This success offers them their  fifth P1500 set Since the summer of 2025, Vincent and Bayard have won a large portion of the tournaments in this category that they have entered. Seeing them become the  last champions of a men's P1500  It therefore possesses a certain logic.

Potel / Étienne, the surprise in Orléans

The men's weekend was also marked by the performance of  Lucas Potel / Natan Étienne .

After eliminating TS4  Morgan Mannarino / Norman Sanchez  In the round of 16, they confirmed their form in the quarterfinals with a very clear victory against  Julien Motz / Jules Marie (TS5)  :  6/2 6/1 in just 47 minutes .

Their adventure ultimately ended in the semi-finals against Filho/Gortzounian.  7 / 5 6 / 4 , but they will have been the main surprise of this latest P1500.

Clergue / Maligo, from P2000 to the last P1500

In the women's competition, the scenario was much more eventful in the final.

 Laura Clergue / Marie Maligo (TS1)  arrived at Casa Padel Back with the status of favorites, a few weeks after having won the  P2000 WinWin Padel Cabriès .

And up until the final, their journey had been perfectly controlled. Not a single set lost and a semi-final dispatched.  6 / 1 6 / 1  face  Manon Richer / Émilie Thauvin (TS8) .

But to secure the last women's P1500 title in history, they had to go very far to find it.

Facing  Alexise Duchêne / Charlyne Tonda (TS3) Clergue/Maligo completely missed the start of the match and conceded a  6/1 They then find the necessary adjustments, notably by using the lob more and allowing Laura Clergue to take up more space.

The TS1 equalizes  6/3 before an extremely close third set.  5/5 Clergue/Maligo finally make the decisive break and conclude  7/5  after  1:51 .

Final victory:  1/6 6/3 7/5 .

If Clergue/Maligo leave with the trophy,  Duchêne / Tonda  They came very close to pulling off a major upset. Their first set in the final notably showed their ability to upset the favorites, with a very offensive Alexise Duchêne and an ultra-precise Charlyne Tonda.

The women's draw also held a surprise with  Marine Fontaine / Élise David-Bordier (TS6) , who defeated the second seed  Juliette Sirgant / Chiara Messina  in the quarter-finals before losing to Duchêne/Tonda in the semi-finals,  7 / 5 6 / 3 .

The latest champions are known

Two tournaments, two different scenarios, but above all two pairs that will remain as the  latest winners of the P1500 category .

At men's,  Vincent / Bayard  They finish as they have often played in recent months: as bosses, with a fifth title together.

In the ladies,  Clergue / Maligo  confirm their momentum after their victory in P2000 and add a special title to their season after a final where they had to completely turn the situation around.

Starting in September, the  P1500s give way to P2000s  in the new structure of French competitions. A page is therefore turning, with  Pierre Vincent / Damien Bayard and Laura Clergue / Marie Maligo as the last champions in the history of the category .
