The Grenoble tournament has its final matchup, and it pits one expected pair against another, much less so.

Muesser and Ayuso validate their ticket to the final

In  first semi-final ,  Yanis Muesser and Quentin Ayuso  (TS2), had to work hard to overcome  Paul Forichon and Lilian Foure  (TS6). Solid in the important moments, the favorites initially tightened the game in a hard-fought first set, won  in the tie-break  (7 / 6).
In the second, they took the lead from the start by breaking the opening break, then managed their service games perfectly to win.  6/3 . Final score:  7 / 6 6 / 3 , a controlled victory which allows them to reach the final and confirm their status.

Gortzounian and Mannarino eliminate the number 1 seed!

In  second semi-final is the  sensation  of the day :  Charles Gortzounian and Morgan Mannarino  (TS5) overturn  Ludovic Cancel and Alexis Coulombeau ,  seeded 1 .
The underdog duo wins the first set  6/4 , before finding himself led  4/1 in the second . But they managed to raise their level, come back into the game and push their opponents to the tie-break, which they dominated. Final victory:  6 / 4 7 / 6 .
Un  very nice course  for this duo formed for the occasion, which eliminates one after the other the  seeded 4 then 1 .

An unprecedented final to follow live

The final will therefore oppose  Gortzounian / Mannarino (TS5)  à  Muesser / Ayuso (TS2) this  Sunday at 14 p.m. ,  direct on Padel MagTV .

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
