The first two seeds held their rank this Sunday morning at Monkey Padel, and will meet at 14:30 p.m. for a highly anticipated finale, to be continued directly on Padel MagTV.

Maligo and Lefevre validate their status

It was the shock of the semi-finals : the seed 1 Marie Maligo / Marie Lefevre faced the duo Wendy Barsotti / Melanie Ros, seeded 3. A promising duel which lived up to its promises, particularly at the start of the match.

In the first set, Maligo and Lefevre quickly took the lead, leading 3/0 with authority. Very solid in attack, they were able to keep the upper hand despite the resistance of Barsotti and Ros, to pocket the set 6/4.

The start of second set is hung. Wendy Barsotti, formerly ranked 120th in the world, has raised her level with several winning smashes, but that was not enough: Maligo / Lefevre finally win 6/4 6/2, and qualify for the final with seriousness and consistency.

Alquier / Barla at the end of the effort

In the other semi-final, Deborah Alquier / Kimy Barla (TS2) were opposed to Marie Boura / Vinciane Remy, the surprise of this tournament. A much closer encounter.

Despite a strong opposition, the second seed was able to keep calm in key moments, imposing 7/5 6/7 6/0 after a intense fight.

A logical and explosive finale at 14:30 p.m.

So these are the two best pairs in the table who will fight for the title in the afternoon. Maligo, finalist of the P2000 from Cabriès, will try to win a first trophy in the company of Lefevre, as for their first association.

Opposite, Alquier and Barla have proven that they know how to handle pressure. This final is shaping up to be tight. Kick-off at 14:30 p.m. on Padel MagTV.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
