The semi-finals of P1500 of PadelShot Saint-Etienne delivered their verdict this Sunday morning, and it's an unprecedented final that is looming between two outsider pairs: Yanis Muesser / Quentin Ayuso (seed 4) and Thomas Basso / Jérémy Robert (seeded 7).

Muesser and Ayuso solid to reach the final

Opposed to Alexis Coulombeau et Simon Wagner, Yanis Muesser et Quentin Ayuso negotiated their semi-final perfectly.
In a match where every play was contested, they knew how to make the difference in key moments, winning 7 / 5 6 / 3.
The duo thus confirmed their rise to power in this tournament, where they were able to raise their level in each match.

Basso and Robert's comeback

In the other semi-final, Tom Basso et Jeremy Robert (TS7) put in a great performance to dismiss Ludovic Cancel et Olivier Guy de Chamisso, seeded 6.
Despite losing the first set in the tie-break (6/7), Basso and Robert didn't give up. They then turned the match around perfectly thanks to their fighting spirit and solidity, to finally win 6 / 3 6 / 4.

Having already had a solid run this weekend, the two men confirm that they are in excellent form.

An unprecedented final this afternoon

The final between Muesser / Ayuso et Basso / Robert promises to be hotly contested.
Two pairs with complementary styles will face off in an attempt to win their first major title of the season.

The meeting is set: final scheduled from 14:30 p.m. à PadelShot Saint-Etienne, live on Padel Magazine TV.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
