It was announced: the lower part of the P1500 Gentlemen of PadelShot Saint-Étienne was going to do some damage, and it didn't fail to do so with the 1st and 3rd seeds eliminated from their first match.

The first seed, composed of Pierre Perez Le Tiec and Damien Lozano, was beaten from the start by the recent winners of the 1PADEL Lens, Paul Forichon and Lilian Fouré, after a completely crazy match concluded in the tie-break of the 4rd set. Final score: 6/4 4/6 7/6.
In the next round, Thomas Basso and Jérémy Robert (seeded 7) managed to beat Forichon / Fouré in two sets, 6 / 3 7 / 6The Northerners may have paid for the intensity of their first match against the number 1 seed.

In their quarter-final, Thomas Basso and Jérémy Robert mastered their subject, winning the first round 6/2 thanks to Basso's precision in his smashes, putting the opposing pair in difficulty. A slight surge in the second set led to a tie-break, but the latter was one-sided (7-0).

For the 3rd seed, the same scenario: Morgan Mannarino and Thibaud Pech lost in their first match against Guillaume Ledrap and Paul Dornberger in three sets (6/2 2/6 6/2).
But in the next round, the 6th seed, Olivier Guy de Chamisso and Ludovic Cancel, imposed their rhythm and secured their ticket to the semi-finals in two sets: 6 / 3 6 / 4.

In the upper part of the draw, the damage was less, even if the fourth seed almost fell. Yanis Muesser and Quentin Ayuso finally won against Louis Jover and Julien Biron in three sets: 6/7 6/2 6/1The unfortunate finalists may have paid for their two previous matches, which were already close.

Finally, Alexis Coulombeau and Simon Wagner (5th seed) put in a great performance in the quarter-finals, beating the 2nd seed, Nicolas Molinero and Alexandre Toppin, in two sets: 6 / 2 6 / 4.
The match was almost one-sided for the Coulombeau/Wagner pairing. Molinero and Toppin never really managed to get into the game, leaving too much space and making many errors, unlike their more solid opponents. An incident at the start of the second set (a point replayed when Molinero thought he had won it) seemed to further destabilize the second seed, who were unable to reverse the momentum.

You will find it live on Padel TV Mag from 10:30 a.m., the semi-finals of the men's P1500:

  • Coulombeau / Wagner vs Muesser / Ayuso
  • Guy de Chamisso / Cancel vs Basso / Robert
