The semi-finals of  P1500 VidaPadel Nancy  delivered their verdict this Sunday morning. If the  seeded 1 Alice Hofer and Laurine Bergaud lived up to expectations, and the second semi-final produced a small surprise with the qualification of Élise David-Bordier and Alexise Duchêne , who defeated the second seed.

David-Bordier and Duchêne take the 2nd seed

This is the performance of the morning. Facing off against  Amanda Pestre Grange and Lucie Vichier Elise David-Bordier and Alexise Duchêne delivered a very solid performance to win in two sets:  6 / 3 6 / 3 .

Both players were in complete control, quickly gaining the upper hand in the rallies and never allowing their opponents to get back into the game. A decisive victory that opens the door to a great P1500 final.

Hofer and Bergaud are gaining momentum

In the other semi-final,  Alice Hofer and Laurine Bergaud  faced  Clara Bellussi and Lorie Pelan .

The match began tentatively. More aggressive, Hofer and Bergaud gradually took control of the game, notably thanks to a  Laurine Bergaud performed very well on her right diagonal multiplying the winning moves.

After breaking serve, they were pegged back to 4-3. The first set was ultimately decided by a tiebreak. In the crucial moments, the number 1 seed drew on her experience and prevailed.  7 points to 5 .

Losing the first set hurt Bellussi and Pelan. In the second set, Hofer and Bergaud played their best padel, imposing a rhythm their opponents couldn't keep up with. More precise, more aggressive, and above all, much more consistent, they closed out the match.  7 / 6 6 / 1  in just 1h07 of play.

The statistics perfectly illustrate their dominance:  71 points won against 46 ,  27 winning shots against 18 , and only  18 unforced errors against 28  for their opponents.

A promising finale

The final will therefore oppose  Alice Hofer / Laurine Bergaud (TS1)  à  Élise David-Bordier / Alexise Duchêne (TS4) .

On one side, the number 1 seed who has confirmed his status since the start of the tournament. On the other, the number 4 seed who just delivered the standout performance of the weekend.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
