Day two of the Newgiza Premier Padel P2 has provided several close matches and a few surprises.  Among the notable matches was the stunning victory of Guillermo Collado and Pol Hernández against Tolito Aguirre and Álex Arroyo. The Spaniards managed to turn around a difficult situation to win in three sets.  2/6 6/4 6/4  and qualify for the round of 16.

Trailing after a first set dominated by  Tolito Aguirre  et  Álex Arroyo ,  Collado and Hernández  changed the dynamics of the match. More solid in the exchanges and more effective in the key moments under such unusual conditions, they managed to turn the game around and win in three sets.

A victory that confirms their good run of form. Quarter-finalists recently at  P2 of Cancun The two Spaniards will now have the opportunity to reach the same stage of the competition in Egypt.

Other notable results of the day,  Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz  left no chance for the Egyptian wild cards  George Wakim  et  Aly Zaghloul swept away  6 / 1 6 / 1 The No. 5 seed will face off in the round of 16.  Juanlu Esbrí and Álex Ruiz , winners of the pair's comeback  Sanyo Gutierrez / Victor Ruiz ,  7 / 5 6 / 4.  

In a more closely contested match,  Juan Tello and Edu Alonso  had to battle through three sets to defeat our French team  Johan Bergeron and Timéo Fonteny ,  6/1 5/7 6/1.  Their next opponent will be the Spanish pair  Aimar Goñi / Enrique Goenaga .

The day was also difficult for  Javi Leal and Pablo Cardona Already eliminated in the first round in Miami, they lost again in the first round against  Gonzalo Rubio and Javi Ruiz  4/6 3/6. They will face the defending champions in the next round.  Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto , seeded n°1 in the absence of Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia.

Also worth noting is the qualification of Enzo Jensen and Luis Hernandez , winners of Álvaro Cepero and Pablo García,  7/6(2) 6/0.  Having come through the qualifying rounds, they are the only pair still in contention. Their next challenge:  Juan Lebrón and Leo Augsburger , seeded No. 3.

Finally  Pablo Lijó and Maxi Arce  have dominated  Miguel Lamperti and Martin Abud   6 / 3 6 / 2  and will face  José Jiménez and Javi Garcia surprise heartthrobs  Momo González and Martin Di Nenno  lors de la journée précessé.

In the women's table,  Alix Collombon and Jana Montes  exit the tournament in the round of 32. The Frenchwoman and her partner were defeated by  Lara Arruabarrena and Marina Lobo ,  7/6(4) 6/4 who will now face a major challenge against the number ones  Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay .

  •  Daiara Valenzuela / Raquel Piltcher  won a duel of qualifiers against  Nati López / Victoria Kurz  (7/6 4/6 6/3) and will face  Claudia Fernández and Sofia Araújo .
  •  Jessica Castelló and Lorena Rufo  turned around a hard-fought match against  Julieta Bidahorria and Marta Caparrós  (2/6 7/5 7/6(3)). They will find  Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen .
  •  Marta Borrero and Ksenia Sharifova  prevailed against  Eugenia Guimet and Sara Foguer  (6/4 6/4) and will play  Marta Ortega and Martina Calvo .
  •  Bea Caldera and Carmen Goenaga  have dominated  Giorgia Marchetti and Léa Godallier  (6/3 6/1) and will face  Ale Salazar and Ale Alonso .
  • Finally  Nuria Rodriguez and Giulia Dal Pozzo  staged a great comeback against  Lucía Martínez and Águeda Pérez  (6/7(6) 6/2 6/1) and will challenge  Marina Guinart and Vero Virseda .

The competition now continues with the round of 16, where the top seeds will get down to business.
