Dimitri Huet et Clement Filho had a good match this morning, in the first round of the P2000 Casa Padel. After coming out of qualifying, they knocked out the pair in the first round Cyril Hanouna / Miguel Semmler.
This performance propels them directly into the 8th finals of the P2000. They talk about their performance today and their next match against Benoît Theard and Thibaud Pech.
A valuable experience
Dimitri Huet : “I am lucky to be with a young man, sharper than ever, who has been preparing this for six months, with a nutritionist, a mental trainer and the many training courses… Despite the fact that I am on the decline, as some say, my partner supports me well We had some very nice matches in the qualifiers, both in terms of level of play and atmosphere... That's also what we're looking for.
The night was not very long, but we managed to play a good game this morning, all the lights are green for the future . We know we have a big game ahead of us, so we'll see how it goes."
Tough opponents in the first round
Clement Filho : “I haven’t played too much on Miguel Semmler to be honest. So the tactic was really to play on Cyril Hanouna . I think he played a very good match. Having played him 5-6 times, it was his best match… and playing on the left!”

Clement Filho : “In terms of intensity, it’s hard to always be focused, because you know exactly what you have to do, but you have to manage to execute it. This gives, in the end, a kind of false rhythm ... "
Dimitri Huet : “Cyril, on the first set, I have rarely seen him play like that : he plays really well. On our side, we had left a little bit of strength yesterday. We didn't have the chance to hit the ball this morning, so we may have arrived a little cold too...
Afterwards, congratulations to them, because they played very well. And then, this team had the particularity of being two right-handers with a lower-ranked player on the left. It's a somewhat unusual configuration, even if we know that Cyril is stronger on the left than on the right.
Finally, we managed to put a little boost in boost and we managed to hold it until the end of the match, it ultimately went rather well for us without having left too much strength in the battle.”

A big fight in sight against Theard / Pech
Dimitri Huet : “I'm not sure I've ever played against Theard / Pech . Maybe in Bordeaux, a long time ago. They weren't ranked that high at the time. I think they won, but again, I'm not sure...
Clement Filho : “I've been able to make the last rounds of P1000 for a few tournaments now, so the progression is crazy. Now, making an 8th in P2000, I'm discovering these top pairs a little. I'm lucky to be very good friends with Nicolas Rouanet, d So I was able to watch a little bit of these matches and I saw him play against Theard / Pech. It allows me to see a little bit how they play and then, Nico will give me a little bit of tactics.
We have two coaches: Nicolas Rouanet et Fred Pommier and we can thank them.”
