The ladies semi-finals of the P2000 Spirit Padel Lyon kept all their promises, with two intense matches and a final that promises to be of high level between Jessica Ginier / Lucile Pothier et Fiona Ligi / Louise Bahurel.
Ginier / Pothier turns the situation against Loit / Lefevre
The match has however well started Émilie Loit and Marie Lefevre, who led 4/1 with a break lead. But at the change of sides, François Authier, coach of Ginier and Pothier, gave more intense instructions, waking up his players. More aggressive and physically present, they are getting back to 4/4, before doing the decisive break at 6/5 to win the first set 7/5.
In the second round, Ginier and Pothier impose their pace and dominate the exchanges. However, beware of Jessica Ginier, whose fibula appears to have jammed late in the match, forcing a medical break. Despite this discomfort, the seed 3 rolls out and concludes the match 7/5 6/2.

Ligi and Bahurel take the number 1 seed as expected
In the other semi-final, Fiona Ligi and Louise Bahurel (TS7) confirmed that they were the favorites in eliminating Laurine Bergaud and Jennifer Denecheau (TS1).
They started strong, chaining together breaks to lead 5/1, before concluding the first set 6/2. Bergaud and Denecheau react in the second round, finding more consistency and breaking in the middle of the set to impose himself 6/3 and return to one round everywhere.
But in the third set, after a quick break from the number 1 seed, Ligi and Bahurel immediately return to level, before breaker at 3/2 and never look back again. Final victory 6/2 3/6 6/3 for a place in the final!

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
