In a generally controlled match, it was the Bergeron / Tison pair who won 6-3 / 4-2 in the remake of the “France” final. Big concern for Thomas Leygue injured in the abdominals 3 weeks before the Worlds.

Bergeron / Tison lengthwise

An entry break from the Blanqué / Leygue pair clearly made our mouths water. The case will not be easy for Tison / Bergeron. A Thomas Leygue although he is not at 100% of his capacities (due to abdominal pain), who seems liberated and very aggressive, rings the charge and shows that he is determined to take his revenge on the final of the last French championships.

Despite a start to the match of rare intensity on the part of the Leygue / Blanqué pair, the self-sacrifice of the French champions allows them to unblock directly. They will then seek the break at 3-2 and then never let go. Superior mastery of the game, added to progressive rise of the champions of France and the physical decline of their opponents (especially Thomas Leygue) will have made the difference. The Bergeron / Tison pair won this first set 6-3.

Thomas Leygue gave everything

A copy and paste at the start of the second set with the pair Blanqué / Leygue who take the service of their opponents. But once again Tison and Bergeron break in the wake. They impose stifling pressure on their opponents. Blanqué and Leygue try to respond with their weapons and their game based on high physical intensity.
Unfortunately Thomas's body didn't hold up, and after being broken at 4-2 he collapsed on the court holding his abs. He will have given everything, unfortunately it was beyond his capacities, and unable to continue the pair Blanqué / Leygue retires. It's a race against time that will start for Thomas Leygue, 3 weeks before the World Cups, with, we hope, a speedy recovery for him and the hope that he will be able to represent France in Qatar.

Still victorious on this P2000, the Bergeron / Tison pair definitely stands out as the team to be defeated with in addition to the French championship, 2 P2000 won out of 3 this year!
