Several encounters were decided by...  super tie-break This demonstrates the strength of the field. The favorites are generally present, but some had to fight hard to secure their qualification for the round of 16.

The first rounds were suspenseful.

In the ladies,  Robat / Lafuente  had to work to remove  Laforge / Le Roux  at the end of a huge battle:  6/4 4/6 10/3 Same scenario for  Ruillard Tuco / Weil who have overcome  Per/Nadal  ( 4/6 6/4 14/12 ), while  Amato / Levenez  have overturned  Tardivet / Girard  ( 5/7 7/6 10/5 ).

The closest match of the day went to  Mouis / Lespes , victorious over  Labadie / Giglione  after an incredible  7 / 6 7 / 5 . On their side,  Lienard / Carraz  et  Milovanovic / Yandian  have also secured their place in the round of 16.

Among the men, several posters also lived up to all their promises.  Pasquier / Gerson  fall face to  Marie / Dornberger  ( 6/7 7/5 12/10 ),  Tardy / Iznasni  have eliminated  Potel / Jover  ( 6 / 3 7 / 6 ) and  Cazaban / Trancart  have released  Maril Beltran / Perrot  ( 6/7 6/4 10/8 ).

The suspense was also present for  Vial / Tullou , winners of  Dufour / Choppe  ( 6/7 6/2 15/13 ), also for  Molinero / Toppin who took the best of   Pech / Peloux   ( 6/2 6/1 11/9 ). Finally,  Lozano / Brechemier  have dominated  Verdier / Cipri  ( 2/6 6/4 10/8 ).

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
