The ladies' semi-finals of the P2000 Winwin Padel Cabriès delivered their verdict this morning. The first poster saw Marie-Amélie Dardaine / Marie Maligo (TS8) to win against Charlotte Soubrié / Emilie Loit (TS5), while Fiona Ligi / Louise Bahurel (TS4) dominated Joanna Bougon / Julie Pécastaing.
Dardaine and Maligo create a surprise against Soubrié and Loit
The first semi-final opposed Marie-Amélie Dardaine / Marie Maligo (TS8) to Charlotte Soubrie / Emilie Loit (TS5). From the start, these are Soubrie and Loit who take the upper hand by leading quickly 4/1.
More Marie-Amelie Dardaine, in great shape, sounds the revolt. The left-hander shows herself to be intractable and lines up the winning points (21 for only 5 direct errors in the set), well supported by her partner Marie maligo, who is very painful with her tight lobs. The two players continue 5 games in a row to win the first set 6/4.
In the second set, the dynamic remains on the side of Dardaine / Maligo. Conversely, Loit and Soubrié seem to be taking a hit, especially Emilie Loit who seems frustrated. They quickly concede a Double Break and find themselves led 3/0. Although Soubrié and Loit succeed in a break, this remains anecdotal, because they lose their commitment again in the process.
The match then becomes a real game of break/debreak, but in this waltz of lost services, they are indeed Dardaine and Maligo who fared best, winning the second set 6/2.
This victory propels Marie-Amelie Dardaine et Marie maligo In the final, Maligo became the second Belgian to reach a P2000 final after Justine Pysson.
Ligi and Bahurel unroll against Bougon and Pécastaing
The other semi-final pitted Joanna Bougon / Julie Pécastaing à Fiona Ligi / Louise Bahurel (TS4). The start of the match is balanced, with both pairs trading blows. 5/4, Ligi and Bahurel manage to do the break at the best time to win the first set 6/4.
The second set is one-sided. Ligi and Bahurel play their game without giving their opponents the slightest chance and conclude with a 6/0.
To Louise Bahurel, it will be a fourth final in P2000, with the hope of finally winning the title after three failures in the final.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
