He had tried to accelerate his return, but Pablo Cardona has ultimately chosen to slow down. On Instagram, the Spaniard spoke candidly about his physical condition and announced another break, despite a strong desire to return to competition.
A comeback that came too soon
The player admits he wanted to return quickly, driven by a sporting project that particularly motivated him. A deliberate decision, but one that proved premature.
"I really wanted to get back into competition. The project that awaited me was very exciting, and that's why I tried to shorten the timeframe a bit."
Real progress, but insufficient.
While the progress is positive, it does not yet allow for a return to the highest level.
"These past few weeks have confirmed for me that every process needs its time. The progress is good, I feel better every day, but I'm not yet at 100%."
A measured speech, which shows an important awareness in managing one's physical condition.
Long-term priority
Beyond the immediate desire to play, Pablo Cardona insists on a more global vision of his career.
"This is also the time to think long-term and build a sustainable career. We continue to follow the plan."
The Spanish player has therefore made the decision to stop again in order to fully concentrate on his recovery.
"So it's time to stop again and dedicate myself entirely to my recovery. I'll come back when I'm ready to compete at the highest level."
A prudent decision, which could prove decisive for the rest of his career.
