It is still rare to see a circuit entirely dedicated to young padel players in Morocco. However, in just over a year, an initiative launched in Casablanca helped structure the competition for the Less than 18 years old and to gather more than 160 young players from different regions of the country.

An initiative born from a need

It all started with an observation made by Raphael Montant, a young Moroccan player from 17 years, passionate about this sport. For lack of adapted competitions and a real youth organization, he decided to launch a padel tournament intended for players of his age, firstly Casablanca. The initial objective was not so much to designate a winner, but rather bring together young enthusiasts in order to facilitate the search for partners and create a competitive dynamics.

A rapid rise in power

Facing succes of the event, the competition took a national scope. Young people from Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech and Kenitra travelled to take part. This tournament turned into a structured championship, With a circuit of four Opens per year, assigning points to establish a national ranking. At the end of the season, a Final Master brings together the eight best teams to designate the winners of the year.

A circuit in full expansion

En one year and two months, the circuit organized five tournaments, bringing together a total of 162 young competitors. The project continues to grow, with a first edition in Tangier scheduled for February 22 and 23, and other events in preparation in different cities of Morocco.

The ambition is now to go further, a further structuring the competition, a attracting more young people and developing the brand Padel Young Morocco. Ultimately, the goal would be to to have this national ranking officially recognized andexpand the circuit internationally.
