In response to a lack of infrastructure for padel in the Bourgogne Franche-Comté region and more specifically in the Dijon conurbation, the Tennis Club Dijonnais and Thomas Brissaud – tennis instructor and former 41st French tennis player padel – have decided to embark on the project to create Padel Park.

Under the impetus of Fit Arena, the new innovative brand of SMC2, the French leader in the construction of sports and leisure buildings, the initial project to create two pitches with a classic configuration quickly evolved into an interactive room project with touch tablets on the pitches, changing rooms, toilets and conviviality area.

More than just a gym, Padel Park x Fit Arena offers a connected experience to its users in a building offering optimal playing comfort for athletes.

A unique and interactive sporting experience

On each field of padel there is a digital tablet. At the disposal of the players, it makes it possible to update the scores of the matches broadcast on a giant screen, and to record the highlights of the games. The players are then invited to share their sporting exploits on social networks and thus federate a real community around the padel !

A facilitator will be present on site during peak hours, in the convivial space located between the two pitches, and will be available to athletes for any request or educational advice.

Thanks to Fit Arena, the venue operator can accommodate all of its audiences in dedicated slots. It benefits from a tool for planning, pricing, activity management, real-time room monitoring and attendance monitoring.

A permanent service open to all

In addition to the interactivity of the athlete's course, the installation of vending machines (drinks, snacks, balls, racket rental) allows Padel Park to offer a wide range of opening hours, from 7:15 a.m. to 23:15 p.m., 7 days a week.

No obligation to be a contributor, the Tennis Club Dijonnais offers access to its room to all audiences, at the hourly rate of €6 per player in off-peak hours and €9 in peak hours. A “Happy Hours” operation at €5 is scheduled for Monday afternoon. Members of the club benefit from a permanent reduction.

Optimal playing comfort all year round

The infrastructure has been designed to provide optimal playing conditions for athletes. With its wooden structure, its roof and its high facades in textile membrane, the building is both bright and aesthetic. The choice of materials is not trivial. Wood makes it possible to control the environmental impact of the infrastructure of padel ; the textile membrane, meanwhile, provides acoustic comfort.

The transparency of the materials used makes it possible to see and be seen, for a real staging of the practice. SMC2 has demonstrated its know-how and engineering by making the glass walls (playing elements) the cladding of the building. This merger gives the land padel natural light and perfect sealing.

On April 18, a comfortable and modern building will open its doors. for the practice of padel in all seasons. Players will be able to play there all year round, sheltered from bad weather while enjoying good visibility of the surrounding nature. The inauguration weekend of April 16 and 17 will be an opportunity for everyone to visit the room in preview and discover or rediscover the padel.
