Competitions Padel

A new way of counting:

 The competitions of padel homologated by the FFT are played exclusively in doubles, with women's doubles and men's doubles. The men's doubles do not count for the ranking calculation.

The competitions of padel are open to players licensed at the FFT.

The licensee must have 11 years or older.

The points account is unique to France because unlike the international regulations,

I / 2 - RULES RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF TABLES FOR THE COMPETITIONS OF PADEL

Article 2 | Overview

1 For competitions, different types of tables are possible:

- online table (see article 4);

- Table of the Formula Multi-Chance (FMC) type (see article 5);

- chick phase followed by an online start table (see article 6);

2 For any competition of padel, an event can only be approved if it has a minimum of 4 pairs of doubles.

3 There are two approved match formats for competitions:

  • Two rounds at 6 games with decisive point application, decisive game at 6 / 6; in case of a tie at one round everywhere, application of a super decisive game to 10 points.
  • A single round at 9 games, with decisive point application, and decisive game at 8 / 8.

Points are counted in accordance with the Rules of the Game for padel.

4 The game format used during the consoling matches is left to the discretion of the organizer. He is not required to use one of the formats mentioned above. Consoling matches are not taken into account for the establishment of the results statement of the event and therefore have no influence on the ranking of padel.

Article 3: Series Heads

1 In any table comprising ranked teams, the best ranked among them must be placed so as to meet as late as possible; they are called seeds.

All boards must have seeded heads, excluding those with only unclassified players.

To calculate the weight of a team, you must add the tennis doubles rankings of the two players in the team (see article 41 of the FFT RS).

2 Seed numbering must follow the order of the official ranking; in the event of a tie between two or more teams, the competition organizer is free to order the teams or to draw lots.

3 The number of seeded players must be at least eighth and maximum at half the total strength of the table.

4 Seeds must be placed:

- on top of the halves, quarters, eighths or other fractions of the half-high table;

- at the bottom of the halves, quarters, eighths or other fractions of the low half-table;

5 Seed numbers should appear on the charts.

6 The placement of seeded seed in a hen phase is set forth in 6 paragraphs 1 and 2 below.

Article 4: Table to start online

1 A table is said to start on-line when all teams enter one or two consecutive rounds and it designates the winner of the event.

2 Establishment of the income statement:

- the winning team of the event ranks 1re;

- the finalist team of the event ranks 2e;

- the two semi-finalist teams are ranked 3rd; or 3rd and 4th if a classification match is played.

- the team losing the match for 3th place ranks 4e;

- the 4 quarter-finalist teams are ranked 5e;

- the 8 eighth-finalists teams are ranked 9e;

- the 16 teams sixteenth-finalists rank 17e.

 

Article 5: Table of the Formula Multi-Chances (FMC)

1- A table is called a Multi-Chance Formula (FMC) when all teams enter a round or two consecutive rounds, and all participating teams get a different ranking. Only the top 32 teams will earn points for ranking.

2- All teams are ranked from 1 to N. Two teams may not finish in the same rank, unless the organizer could not, for reasons beyond his control, have all the classification matches played.

3- In the event of disqualification of a team, the team concerned is declared the loser of all the parties that it still had to dispute. The team will appear on the event result as a disqualified team and will not score any points on the overall competition.

Article 6: Pool Phase followed by an Online Departure Board

1 Constitution of chickens:

- the number of teams allowed in a pool can not exceed 6. The hens are made up of the same number of teams, to one unit; each team meets all the teams of the same pool once.

- there must be at least one seed per group, unless there are only teams of unclassified players.

  1. Qualified:

- the organizer decides on the number of qualified per group.

- for the final table, the seeds must be established according to the result of the hen phase.

3 Results, rankings and packages:

The ranking of a group is obtained by the attribution of:

2 points per game won (wins by WO included);

1 point per game played and lost;

0 point in case of defeat by WO.

In case of equality of points between two or more teams, their ranking is established taking into account for all parts of the pool:

- the difference in the number of innings won and lost by each of them;

- then, in case of new equality, the difference in the number of games won and lost by each of them;

- then, in the event of a new tie, by the successive application of the two methods above to the results of the games between the teams to be separated;

- finally, in case of a new tie, the teams will be separated by a draw.

Any part of the pool that gave rise to a WO is assigned the fixed score:

- for matches in 1 winning round: 1 round at 0 and 4 games at 0;

- for matches in 2 winning rounds: 1,5 round at 0 and 5 games at 0.

In the event of abandonment or disqualification during the game, the score to be recorded is given by the attribution to the winner of all the games remaining to be played at the time of the end of the game.

Any team registered in a group has the obligation to dispute all the parties. In the event of a team being forfeited for one or more of its pool games, the referee is entitled to disqualify the team. The team will appear on the result status as disqualified and will not score any points on the entire competition.

4 Establishment of the income statement:

- the winning team of the event ranks 1re;

- the finalist team of the event ranks 2e;

- the two semi-finalists teams are ranked 3e; or 3e and 4e if a ranking match is played.

- the 4 quarter-finalist teams are ranked 5e;

- the 8 eighth-finalists teams are ranked 9e;

- the 16 teams sixteenth-finalists rank 17e;

- the teams eliminated in group all rank at the same rank.

Chapter II 4 Championships

Article 7

The leagues of France and league comprise:

- a double ladies event;

- a double men's event.

Article 8

After the league championship organized by the 31 metropolitan leagues determining the qualifiers for the championship of France, it takes place in two phases:

  1. Interregional phases regrouping the qualified teams of the league championships (these groupings are determined each year by the Direction of the Competition and Teams of France of the FFT). At the end of these inter-regional phases, 8 men's teams and 8 women's teams qualify for the finals.
  2. A final stage organized on the same place and gathering the 8 men's teams and the 8 qualified ladies teams.

 

Article 9

The championships of France are organized by the Direction of the competition and teams of France of the FFT, under the authority of the committee of the championships of France as defined in the article 58 of the Federal Sports Regulations, which determines each year the modalities organization, as well as the seeded ones.

The Championships Committee is the first judge of disputes concerning the validity of the licenses, the organization and conduct of the event.

The appeal of its decisions is brought before the Federal Litigation Commission.

Article 10

1 The 31 metropolitan leagues must organize an annual championship padel, in women's doubles and in men's doubles, qualifying for the French championship. This qualifying league championship may possibly include departmental phases. He must respect the same registration procedures and the same game format as those for the French championship.

2 Each league qualifies a ladies team and a men's team composed of licensed players in one of its affiliated clubs. The registration deadline is set by the league. Only entries with the two players on the team are accepted. A minimum meeting must have taken place during the league championship for a qualification in the interregional phase.

  1. Each year, the league office organizes a championship committee, which oversees the qualifying championships.
  2. The inter-regional phases are open to champions league teams.

Interregional Phases

In the event of non-participation of the league champion team in the interregional phase, or of one of the players composing this team, the league may designate as substitute team the finalist team, or failing that, a semi-finalist team, or default a team consisting of players who participated in the regional championship.

"Regional Championship participant" means any player registered in a league table team (including the departmental phase).

This replacement of player (s) must be communicated to the organizer of the interregional phase no later than 24 hours before the drawing of lots of the table or the constitution of pools in the interregional phase.

After this period, no player substitution will be allowed, the league concerned will not present team during the interregional phase.

Final phase

In case of non-commitment of the winning team of the inter-regional phase, the organizer of this inter-regional phase may designate as the substitute team the finalist team, or failing that a semi-finalist team, or failing that a team having participated in the interregional phase. This substitution must be communicated to the organizer of the final tournament no later than 24 hours before the draw for the pools.

After this period, no team substitution can be made, and the winning team

the interregional phase will be declared disqualified for the final phase.

Article 11

In order to participate in the league championship and the French championship, players and players must meet the following conditions:

- to be of French nationality;

- To be dismissed at the French Tennis Federation for the current sports year and whose date of attachment of the license meets the deadline conditions set by the league, to be able to participate in the regional qualifying championship;

- Be in possession of a medical certificate of non-contraindication to the practice of tennis in competition valid;

- be part of the 18 age group and over.

 

Article 12 | Sports Organization

  1. The League Championship and the interregional phases of the French Championships take place, depending on the number of teams involved, ie:

- in the form of a row array,

- in the form of chickens followed by an online starting board,

- in the form of a table of the Formula Multi-Chances type.

  1. The final phase of the championships of France is played in the form of 2 hens 4 teams each. No hen changes can be made after they have been officially released.
  2. The two teams ranked 1st in the group play the final and compete for the title of French Champions of padel.
  3. The two teams classified 2ème of hen play the classification match. The winning team will be ranked 3ème. The losing team will be ranked 4ème.
  1. e. The closing of registrations for the French championships of padel is fixed each year by the championships committee. The team compositions must be sent to the Competition Management using the entry form provided for this purpose.
  2. The game format used for league championship, for interregional and final rounds, is the best of 3 rounds at 6 games, with application in the 2 first innings of the decisive point at 40A. In case of a tie at one round, apply a decisive bonus game to 10 points.
  3. For the inter-regional and final phases of the championships

France, the FFT advocates that the players of the same team are dressed homogeneously with the name of the league registered in the back.

Chapter III 4 Tournaments

Article 13 | Tournament Committee

The constitution of a tournament committee is obligatory, its composition must be posted on the place where the competition takes place.

1 The tournament committee, composed of at least 3 members who are members of the current vintage and aged 18 years old or over (the referee can not be part of it):

- fix the amount of the entry fees; no fee may be charged for participation in a comforting trial;

- establishes tournament rules in accordance with federal regulations;

- stops without resort the list of the players admitted to participate;

- defines and indicates to the referee the course of action he wishes to see for the progress of the tournament, and supervises the draws;

- ensure the smooth running of the competition and must provide, for each disputed game, a minimum of three balls homologated by the FFT;

- take all the measures it deems useful to ensure, in the allotted time, the smooth running of the tournament.

2 In accordance with article 91-c of the FFT's by-laws, the tournament committee is the first judge of any disputes regarding the validity of the licenses, the organization and conduct of the competition. The appeal of its decisions is brought before the Litigation Commission of the league.

 

Article 14 | Approval

The club wishing to organize a tournament padel must complete the homologation form which can be downloaded from the FFT website, section padel.

Article 15 | Specifications

The club wishing to organize a tournament padel must undertake to respect the specifications drawn up for this purpose, which can be downloaded from the FFT website, section padel.

Article 16 | Transmission of the income statement

At the end of the tournament, the referee must submit the results statement (s) to Competition Management no later than 48h after the end of the tournament.

Article 17 | Player participation

1 Players must provide the following to the Tournament Referee:

- the FFT license certificate for the current sporting year;

- the medical certificate of no contraindication to the practice of tennis in competition valid.

Players who are authorized to take part in a tournament padel must be at least 11 years old (at the registration deadline).

2 Players who enter a tournament padel must be available to the referee for the duration of the tournament.

Chapter IV 4 The ranking

Article 18 | Principle

The classification of padel of a player corresponds to his tennis doubles classification (cf. article 41 of the RS FFT).

Article 19 | Operation

Depending on the rank obtained by the team after a homologated competition, a number of points are awarded to each player on the team. This number of points varies according to the type of competition and the number of teams composing the table.

At the end of the sports year, the competitors will be ordered from 1 to n according to the number of points they will have recorded during their 4 best results, and will thus obtain a ranking of padel.

Chapter V 4 Judge Arbitration / Arbitration

Article 20 | Responsibilities of the Referee

A JAT 1 qualifying referee is competent to organize, on the territory of his league, a competition of padel.

In addition to the duties conferred upon him by XFTX-B and 91 of the FFT Bylaws, which are not referenced below, the Umpire must ensure that the rules of the game and the sports rules are followed. As such:

1 He is presented by the players the certificate of license, the medical certificate of non-cons-indication to the practice of tennis in competition valid.

2 He ensures that each game is played with three balls provided by the organization and approved by the FFT.

3 He may temporarily delegate his powers within the framework of the definition of functions provided for in article 17 of the FFT tennis sporting regulations.

4 The referee is responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of the results as well as the quality of their transcription. He is also responsible for the transmission of the results within the set deadlines.

5 The Referee shall draw up the tables and, where applicable, the hens in accordance with the rules set out in Articles 3 to 6 of these Regulations.

6 The referee can only schedule a maximum of 3 games for a team during the course of a day. A minimum rest of 30 minutes must be respected between two parties.

7 The referee must allow a team a minimum of 12 hours between the end of his last match and his first scheduled game of tomorrow.

8 It ensures the publication and the display in good time of the tables and, if necessary, hens, schedules of the parts, then their results.

9 When acting as a player in the tournament for which he / she is responsible, he / she must nominate a qualified substitute referee qualified under the provisions of Article 17 of the FFT Tennis Rules. , responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the tournament during the duration of his / her part (s).

10 The Referee writes a penalty card in the event of a serious incident or if he deems it necessary.

Article 21: Arbitration

The parts of padel are not arbitrated. However, the organizing club is advised to appoint court supervisors who will ensure that the games are linked and take place in the best conditions.
