24 and 25 January , the club Mind Padel in Saint-Priest , near Lyon, hosted the 2nd FFT National Padel Tournament for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing , organized by the French Tennis Federation in collaboration with Padel Deaf France .
For this edition, the turnout was excellent. The event brought together 32 men’s teams et 16 women's teams , record participation which confirms the structuring and growing attractiveness of deaf padel in France.
A controlled women's final
In the women's table, Élodie Million and Céline Lavenu imposed their rhythm throughout the final. Solid and consistent, they logically prevailed against Laura Gill and Laurianne Noe on the score of 6 / 4 - 6 / 1 .
Sanchez and De Kerdrel as bosses in the men's game
The men's final also lived up to expectations. Maxime Sanchez , the leading French organization for the deaf community, associated with Thibault De Kerdrel , confirmed his status by winning in two sets ( 6 / 3 - 6 / 3 ) in front of Thomas Figliuzzi and Nicolas Didier , at the end of a hard-fought and controlled match.
A rapidly growing discipline
Beyond the results, this weekend in Lyon once again illustrated the steady progression in the level of play , in both men and women. A development welcomed by Padel Deaf France who warmly thanks Mind Padel , host of this tournament for the third consecutive year , as well as all the players and spectators – adults and children – present throughout the weekend.

Next national meeting
Le next FFT national tournament for deaf and hard-of-hearing players is already scheduled. It will take place at Padel Billy-Berclau Campus Arena March 28 and 29, 2026 with the ambition to continue on this positive momentum.
