At the start of the season 2020/2021, padel is in the spotlight at TC Chateaubriant, with an XXL animation on the occasion of open doors club followed by men's and women's tournaments.

To compensate for the cancellation of the 2020 Association Forum, the TCC decided to organize open doors on the Halle de tennis de Renac site on Saturday 05 September 2020, in order to discover the different activities of the club, that is to say tennis, squash and ... padel. On this occasion, the emphasis was on our sport with the intervention of Simon Boissé, 5th French player.

Throughout the morning, initiates and neophytes alike were able to participate in 30-minute sessions, receiving valuable advice.

Construction of a second land of padel by 2021

While the Mayor, Alain Hunault, invited for the occasion, came to visit the recently renovated tennis courts, some of his advisers had the opportunity to test the activity in the joy and conviviality. On the occasion of his visit, and in front of the president of the Loire Atlantique tennis committee, who came to represent the Loire authority at the invitation of the president of the TCC, the Mayor also confirmed the construction of a second padel by 2021.

Just before the glass of friendship celebrating the entertainment of the day, an exhibition featuring Simon Boissé and three other players, was held under the astonished and delighted eyes of the spectators present.
The afternoon was devoted to matches between teams made up of experienced players and local players of all levels.

Tournament side

September 19 and 20, 2020, tournament season padel continued with the organization of a tournament P250 men and one P100 women. Due to the capricious weather and an insufficient number of entries for the tournament, the ladies' draw was canceled. On the other hand, 11 teams filled the men's table, with qualifying pools on Saturday afternoon and a final draw on Sunday.

The level of play was very good and high. The matches took place in joy and good humor, and gave rise to some great games.

The feat of a team from the hens

It was not good to be seeded in this P250, as the No. 1 and No. 2 seed lost at the gates of the Final. And it is the pair Simon Beluet / Florent Gautier who won the title at the expense of Kern Le Mouel / Simon Malinowski. An irreproachable course from the qualifying phases to the title.

The next meeting padel in Chateaubriant will be the weekend of 24 and 25 2020 October with a ladies' and men's tournament.
