Le  Buenos Aires Premier Padel P1  It wasn't just the level of play on the court that made an impression. This week in Argentina confirmed one thing above all: Argentina remains probably the most passionate country in the world for padel.

With a historic record of:

  •  16 920 spectators 
    during the semi-finals at  Park Roca Buenos Aires offered an exceptional atmosphere that left a lasting impression on many players.

And among them, a certain  Paquito Navarro .

 Paquito completely won over by Argentina 

Highly appreciated by the Argentinian public for years, the Spaniard received another huge ovation throughout the week.

On his social media, Paquito also wanted to thank the Argentinian fans with a very strong message:

“I don’t even know how to thank this country for how it makes me feel every time I come here. No matter what my emotional state is when I arrive, I always leave with a smile.”

This statement further demonstrates the very special bond between the Andalusian player and the Argentinian public.

 “We want a second tournament in Argentina” 

But Paquito didn't stop there.

He then directly addressed Premier Padel to make a claim:

  • a second tournament in Argentina as early as next season.

The Spanish player sent a very clear message:

“What more do you need to organize at least one more tournament here? Córdoba, Mar del Plata, Mendoza… no matter the location, we’ll fill the stands.”

This statement also reflects the feelings of many players on the circuit.

 A key country in the world of padel 

It must be said that Argentina remains a historic place in world padel.

To find two tournaments organized in the same season in the country under the same circuit, you have to go back to:

  •  2016 
    with:
  •  Buenos Aires 
  • et  Mendoza 

Since the merger of the circuits and the arrival of Premier PadelArgentina now only has one stage left on the calendar.

A choice that seems increasingly difficult to understand in light of:

  • the atmosphere
  • the crowd
  • and the popular enthusiasm surrounding the Buenos Aires P1.

 The end of the adventure with Fran Guerrero 

This publication by Paquito also served to formalize another important topic:

  • the end of his association with  Fran Guerrero .

Buenos Aires was their last tournament together before the planned pairing reshuffle prior to the Italy Major.

Despite some interesting results, the association never quite achieved the hoped-for consistency.

Paquito nevertheless wanted to pay tribute to the young Spaniard:

“You have a huge future ahead of you, you’re a star on and off the track.”

 The transfer window is open. 

The rest is already known:

  •  FIP Platinum Albania 

For its part,  Paquito Navarro  will find:

  •  Martín Di Nenno 

A pair that had made its mark on the circuit in:

With this comeback, Paquito clearly hopes to disrupt the current dominance of the top four pairs in the world.
