On the  Roland-Garros Center ,  Louise Bahurel  et  Lucile Pothier  stood up to the Spanish pair  Julia Polo / Noemí Aguilar , in a close match concluded in  6 / 4 6 / 4 .

From the first set, the French women took advantage of their opponents' tension to launch themselves, carried by the crowd. But  3/3  Polo and Aguilar raise their voice, they are more aggressive, break and go towards the  6/4 .

The second set was even more closely contested. Pothier took the lead on the volley, Bahurel added volume and the French were rewarded with a break at  2/1 . If the immediate break revives the Spanish, the Tricolores do not give up and even offer themselves opportunities to make their adversaries doubt. But at  5/4 , on a contentious point, Aguilar and Polo snatch the break then conclude without trembling:  6 / 4 6 / 4 . Their  29 winning points against 19  French side illustrate this aggressiveness which pays off on the Spanish side.

Despite the defeat, the French women showed a good face and left with  35 FIP points , valuable for the future. Now it's time for  French Championships , where they will play separately.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
