Since the beginning of the year, the academy Padel Stuff, founded by the former world top 25 Andoni Bardasco, completes its coaching training with a certification exam. Tested by several groups of teachers since the academy's creation 3 years ago, this course is already recognized for its precision, its requirement and its complementarity with existing training. Three of the coaches who have passed through Padel Stuff in 2025, as evidenced by: Daniel Cuesta, Ivan Treptow and Antony Pontery.
Understanding padel: a global method, embodied by Andoni Bardasco
Teaching padel cannot be improvised. This is the premise ofAndoni Bardasco, at the initiative of a method in 18 modules and 6 major universesIts promise: to offer teachers a clear, structured and comprehensive vision of padel, in order to help them in their teaching. Both practical and theoretical, the content of this course covers the technical basics (positioning, fundamental shots), responses to lobs, attack patterns, point construction and the specificities of defensive play.
Each coach trained in this method receives a individualized diagnosis, before following a two-week program combining theory, video work, and intensive practice. The emphasis is on rigor, precision of movement, understanding of the game, all in a caring professional environment “, explains Andoni Bardasco. “ A teacher is more effective when he understands the subtleties of padel as a whole, and not just its fragments. ».

Three coaches, three courses, one observation: training helps you progress
Among the three coaches interviewed, two are French, and the third is Spanish. Currently based in Cameroon (after having taught successively in Madrid, Dubai and… Vilnius!), the latter, Daniel Cuesta, Explain :
« The Cameroonian club where I currently work has adopted the method Padel Stuff. Thanks to this training, I have deepened aspects such as the forehand, the backhand or the bandeja. It is a method that I use daily, and that I use a lot.. »
For his part, Antony Pontery, French coach who has passed the TFP (professional padel instructor title provided by the FFT) and is based at the Aréa Padel Club de Narbonne, was looking for a more technical approach:
« I got to know Andoni through the “At the Heart of Padel” videos on YouTube. I did a first internship in Bilbao as a player, then I came back to follow the certification. I discovered a rigor, a precision and a pedagogy that I had never seen elsewhere. We are really in the detail of the gesture, in a complete method. It gave me tools to really structure my sessions. »
For his part, Ivan Treptow, co-founder of Padel NC in New Caledonia combines club management with teaching. He is currently pursuing a TFP (Training Professional Qualification). He also wanted to complete his training with a stay at the academy. Padel Stuff from Bilbao:
"I couldn't see myself returning to New Caledonia without an experience in Spain, which is still the historical cradle of Padel “, he says. " After some research and information gathering, the academy Padel Stuff seemed to tick a lot of the right boxes, including two important points for me: a coach who is both French-speaking and a former professional player at the highest level in the world. I was not disappointed! I found technical expertise there that allowed me to review in great detail the positioning on the court, the movements, the precision of the gestures... Andoni actually acts like a real “padel surgeon”.
A pedagogy that changes the way we teach
These three testimonies particularly illustrate the cultural evolution developed by certification Padel StuffThis training aims to change the way we think about teaching. Daniel Cuesta uses it on a daily basis, Antony Pontery sees it as an adaptable professional methodology, and Ivan Treptow speaks of a " advanced technical review " The two French coaches particularly insist on one central point: This certification completes and enriches the TFP curriculum.
« With Andoni, I understood things that I had only half-realized until then. I had the basics, but not the complete tools. Today I know where I want to take my students, and how to explain the gesture to them with rigor but without dogmatism. " explains Antony.
« Padel has only recently arrived on our island " adds Ivan. "The methodology Padel Stuff allows me to structure my teaching by emphasizing the educational path. I intend to share it with the players and other Caledonian coaches! »
A reference for French-speaking coaches
By launching this certification dedicated to teachers, Padel Stuff asserts its role as educational reference in the French-speaking worldFar from competing with national formations such as the TFP, it is integrates as a complement, with an innovative, hands-on approach and a method focused on technical, tactical, cultural, and pedagogical aspects. How can we deconstruct and then reconstruct a student's gesture? How can we design a course—or a set of courses—as an evolving process that allows students to find their own learning path?
« Training teachers means actively participating in the future of our sport: padel. The method Padel Stuff aims to be clear, progressive, and demanding. It adapts to all profiles, but above all, it provides concrete tools to those who want to progress as coaches " concludes Andoni Bardasco.
