The young Frenchman  Yoan Boronad  will ultimately not be part of the game this week at  FIP Bronze of Vilamoura . Victim of a fall last week at the FIP Bronze in Jersey, which caused him a shoulder injury, prefers to withdraw from this tournament with  Maxime Forcin. 

A first association postponed

Boronad was to train for the occasion  an unpublished pair with Maxime Forcin This first collaboration will ultimately not see the light of day,  Boronad's shoulder condition  not allowing him to immediately resume competition. Yoan Boronad was coming off a  quarter-final in FIP Bronze  last week with  Adrien Maigret  and hoped to continue in Portugal this week.

Both men had drawn the seed 3 in the  first round of this FIP Bronze Vilamoura,  the Portuguese pair  Luque/Jesus  which would surely have given a very good game to padel fans.

Forced recovery for Boronad

Yoan Boronad is still very young and has been competing in tournaments for several months. This forced break will allow him to  take a little rest  before returning to the FIP circuit. The priority now remains  to return to 100%  notably for Roland Garros and then the French championships.

At the end of August, he will also participate in the  French U18 championships with Timeo Fonteny  in Aix-en-Provence where they will be the big favorites.

The French team internship, creator of pairs?

We could already see it in recent weeks: Yoan Boronad, recently associated with  Adrien Maigret  and, this week initially at  Maxime Forcin , illustrates a strong trend within French padel. The  French team training course  seems to have brought several generations together, giving rise to associations combining experience and youth on the FIP circuit.

The objective is clear: to enable young people to  benefit from expertise and experience  experienced players while offering them the opportunity to compete in high-level tournaments. We find this logic with  Benjamin Tison , who will play a tournament alongside  Timeo Fonteny , or  Johan Bergeron , recently associated with  Julien Seurin A strategy that could prove valuable in accelerating the progression of French talent and pushing French padel to the top.
