During an interview given by Emilio Forcher, David Nabaldian tells us about his passion for padel, and its development in his country, Argentina.

Emilio Forcher is one of the icons of padel in Argentina. 30 years of practice make him one of the encyclopedias of this sport. He finds himself alongside another icon, David Nabaldian, former star of world tennis.

David Nabaldian bet on the padel a few years ago by creating his own club. In his youth, in the 90s, he preferred to focus on tennis and not padel. Why ?

“The 90s in Argentina were the years when we had to choose. Major authorities have preferred tennis to padel, and the development of facilities, equipment and player numbers came to a halt. For ten years, the padel is coming back in force, and that's good. ”

On the other hand, David suffered a lot of injuries during his tennis career, while in the padel, no injuries.

“The risk of injury in any sport performed at a high level is frequent. The body suffers a lot because it is pushed to its maximum. At padel, I don't play at a high level, I have fun. This is one of the reasons I don't get hurt. Then, in Argentina, the terrain has changed a lot. We used to play on cement, now we have resin and synthetic turf. This evolution makes the game more flexible and therefore less injuries. Finally, before embarking on any sport, you must prepare yourself a minimum because acceleration, pressure recovery or changes of direction, can quickly end your activity. ”
