Every month, padel clubs open in Europe. We could even say every week! But project leaders are often faced with a problem: lack of space, especially indoors.
Land is expensive, especially in large cities. We must then try to optimize the little space we get to try to offer a maximum of services to the players while preserving the economic health of the structure.
How to put as many padel courts as possible on the same site?
Padel Tolosa Montauban and Conca Sport have opted for a solution that seems very interesting: stick the padel courts on one side.
In short, two padel courts are stuck together and thus have certain structures in common. Note that in the case of Padel Montauban, Conca Sport explains that for “To optimize the space dedicated to padel, we installed 2 x 2 courts joined by one side. Each of them having its own windows and its own fence.”
Each of the two padel courts therefore still has its own windows and fences.
Our opinion :
The padel court builder and the chain Padel Tolosa have managed to put 4 padel courts and even 1 badminton court on a site that could hardly do better. A very good idea, because it allows to increase the offer in Montauban. The players can only be satisfied with this idea.
In the game, awkward situations seem relatively infrequent, since each field has its own windows and fences.
On the other hand, pushing this concept to the point of creating padel courts with shared windows and fencing could have a negative effect on the game.
An idea and a way of doing things that could one day become widespread? What do you think ?
