La  P1000 TSB Valenciennes final  kept its promises between the top two seeds of the tournament.
And at the end of 1h30 game These are indeed the favorites.  Pierre Perez Le Tiec / Maxime Deloyer who ultimately prevailed against  Eliot Deknuydt / Paul Forichon  on the score of  6 / 2 7 / 6 .

A logical victory for the  seeded 1 , which concludes a  tournament perfectly mastered , without having lost a single set.

 A one-sided first set

From the start,  Perez-Le Tiec / Deloyer  impose their own rhythm.

In this first round,  Maxime Deloyer is causing a lot of damage with his vibra , in particular on  Paul Forichon , often put under pressure.
By his side,  Pierre Perez Le Tiec perfectly locks down his diagonal.  and leaves very few openings to  Deknuydt / Fourichon .

Result: the favorites quickly take control, realize  the double break  and conclude this first set  6/2 with authority .

Deknuydt / Forichon react in the second

But the game changed completely in the second half.

This time,  Deknuydt / Forichon start very strong .
They break early and quickly take control to lead  3/0 .

Eliot Deknuydt is gaining momentum  and is very painful on smash, while  Paul Forichon regains his impact , especially with some  By 3  well thought out.

For a few games, the final clearly swings in the direction of the game.

 The awakening of the favorites

Led,  Perez Le Tiec / Deloyer  Don't panic.

They  tighten the game regain length and manage to  unbreak even before  regain the advantage immediately .

More  Deknuydt / Forichon  They don't give up.
They remain calm, return to the set,  break in turn , then even take the lead  5/4 .

At that point, they had several opportunities to push the game into a third set… but failed to capitalize.

A tie-break better managed by the number 1 seed

As is often the case in big matches, everything comes down to a few details.

The second set goes to  tie-breaker and in this exercise,  Perez Le Tiec / Deloyer  show why they were the tournament favorites.

A new time,  Deloyer is very dangerous with his diagonal run. , particularly with its vibora, and the  seeded 1  proves more solid in the key moments to conclude  7/6 .

 The difference in mastery

This final offered a real statistical contrast.

Deknuydt / Forichon  were very aggressive and even produced more:

  •  37 winning points
  • salary.  28  for Perez Le Tiec / Deloyer

But they paid for their waste:

  •  48 unforced errors
  • against only  30  for the winners

That's clearly where the final was decided.
The favorites were  cleaner, more consistent, and stronger in the important moments .

 A first set in P1000

With this success,  Pierre Perez Le Tiec and Maxime Deloyer  take off their  first title together in P1000 .

A well-deserved title considering their tournament performance:

  •  no set lost
  • very few moments of uncertainty
  • and a real sense of control over the entire tournament

They were the favorites, and they lived up to that status perfectly.

A good tournament nonetheless for Deknuydt / Fourichon

Inevitably, there will be some frustration for  Eliot Deknuydt / Paul Forichon who had their window in this second set but failed to turn the match around.

But their tournament remains very solid.
They simply stumble upon  a very strong pair , led by  Maxime Deloyer , old  Belgian number 1 , And a  Pierre Perez Le Tiec  very consistent throughout the weekend.

In Valenciennes, the favorites lived up to expectations until the very end.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
