Dear "traveling gamer", near the focus on Tenerife, Salouthen SevilleToday, we're heading to Valencia!
Opposite Majorca, at the same latitude, on the east coast of Spain, you'll find the renowned city of Valencia. A land of running, notably home to one of the most beautiful European marathons of the last two decades, Valencia is a prime sporting destination where padel is, of course, widely played at all levels.
When you think of a padel trip, you think of an optimized padel stay, taking your favorite sport to the next level and discovering the advantages offered by your destination. What do you think? To be honest, Valencia has many facets: the most renowned being: a city focused on the outdoors, year-round sports, and a pronounced taste for delicious food and wine pairings.

A vibrant destination, predominantly green and blue:
Since 1986, the city has boasted its own "Diagonal" (a reference to the famous Barcelona avenue) with the Turia Gardens, which stretch from west to east, forming the green heart of this Spanish stronghold. In place of the former Turia riverbed, you now have a vibrant space where runners, hikers, and leisurely strollers come to enjoy the fresh air. This public garden is very welcoming and a pleasure to explore. In its easternmost section, with Gulliver Park (a true playground for children), you'll find the world-renowned City of Arts and Sciences, and nearby, the Oceanographic Museum.
A perfect illustration of a city proud of its traditions, yet looking towards the future and the challenges of tomorrow's world, this space (for those unfamiliar with it) is a source of inspiration and lightheartedness. Lovers of the deep blue sea will be delighted to visit "L'Océanographique," home to over 500 marine species.
The Mediterranean and therefore the beach are just a stone's throw away: let's not forget, the coast being at the foot of the city, it goes without saying that moments of swimming or relaxation on the Valencian sand are appreciated before or after a good padel game!

Speaking of padel… the sports facilities are “complete”, welcoming and designed with the athlete in mind.
We have observed that sport in Spain, practiced from a very young age, is a religion for many children. Motor skills training and regular practice of two sports (often a team sport and an individual sport) allows them to develop athletic skills that we find particularly among the best Spanish athletes internationally: in basketball, tennis, ultra trail running, but also in football… and padel!
We met with local stakeholders who are dedicated to amateur and family padel, seamlessly blending it with competitive and semi-professional padel. This led us to discover a unique dome with a double pressurized cover that keeps the indoor temperature 5 degrees warmer in winter and 5 degrees cooler in summer – needless to say, the playing conditions are ideal. In addition to the padel facilities, there's an outdoor HYROX box and a weight room equipped with state-of-the-art machines, some of which incorporate AI to optimize the crucial aspect of padel training with a personal trainer.

And what about recovery? The benefits of water
For recovery or optimization of a padel stay, a swimming pool and spa offer a pleasant option after an intensive coached session.
Speaking of water, a quick shout-out to Agua de Valencia, one of the local (alcoholic) drinks. This cocktail, made with cava or traditional champagne, is very popular with locals. For red or white wine lovers (vermouth, for example), you won't be disappointed by visiting establishments dating back to the late 19th century, offering set menus with 7 traditional tapas, 2 desserts, and a coffee for under €40!

And after a local paella, what to do?
As Javier says in the video, Valencia's local paellas are unique because the rice comes from their own rice paddies! For seafood lovers, you can enjoy mussels (also locally sourced). Afterwards, you might want to stroll through the streets of the historic center, or for those feeling more festive, catch a football match at Mestalla or a concert or basketball game at the recently opened, state-of-the-art Roig Arena, a new multi-purpose venue that opened to the public in September 2025!
Valencia will continue to surprise you, so grab your racket and give it a try?
