Around'Inigo Jofre to return to our colleagues of Legal Padel Sport on his adventure during the 2024 World Championships in Qatar, as well as on the controversy concerning his selection for the United Arab Emirates, alongside three other former Spanish players.

"They wanted to create an exciting project for the World Cup. Fran Jurado, Arnau Ayats, Sergio Icardo and I got together. You see that in many sports, it's something normal, but not so much in padel. For me, it was very emotional to experience a World Cup."

Arnau Ayats also spoke on the matter. He did not understand why this decision had taken on such magnitude when, in other disciplines such as football, such situations are frequent. He stressed that being Spanish and ranked around the 50th place worldwide makes it almost “impossible” to represent one’s native country.

Anyway, the United Arab Emirates have succeeded in their bet by winning a remarkable 5th place worldwide, in front, there France (7th) and Brazil (6th), while they had finished last in the previous edition.
