The combination of padel and golf in the same facility has proven in the to be a winning model. So how can a golf club benefit from padel courts?

It would hardly occur to anyone to juxtapose in the same sentence two sports as different as Padel and Golf: on the one hand there is a 20x10m sized cage where a more dynamic and unpredictable sort of tennis is played, on the other a boundless lawn dotted with holes to be hit with surgical precision.

Yet in recent times, despite the obvious diversity both technically and in terms of target audience and market, these two sports are incredibly finding ways to manage to coexist within the same space.

In this article, we are going to explore this very issue, focusing on why and how a Golf Club can benefit from padel courtswithin it, also bringing you as a case study a recent project we were involved in last week.

Why to build padel courts in a Golf Club?

1. Huge availability of space: in a Golf Club, space is certainly not an issue and therefore it will not be difficult to find a location for one or more padel courts that will benefit from a setting full of greenery and trees, far from the urban chaos of population centers, becoming a perfect location without the need to buy or rent another piece of land.

2. New form of entertainment for golf club members and their companions: the trend of juxtaposing golf with a parallel and different activity is not new. As you may know, a round of golf can last for many hours, which is why the Golf Club becomes a place where both the golfers and their companions spend a lot of time, and because of this, having another form of entertainment available to enjoy after (for the golfers) and during the game (for their companions) can turn into an added value for the Golf Club.

3. Source of attraction for new players: juxtaposing two such different sports, although it may seem like a gamble, can on the contrary turn out to be an excellent strategy to bring padel fans closer to the world of golf and vice versa, and all this inevitably translates into a greater source of income for club owners, who in this way will be able to count on a greater differentiation of their sports offerings for their potential customers.

Two New Fiberglass Padel Courts at a Golf Club in Lima, Peru

As mentioned earlier, it is a pleasure for us to also bring to this article a case study on this topic that we have been involved in recently. Just last week, in fact, the installation of two Fiberglass Padel Courtshttps://www.nxpadel.com/en/fiberglass by NXPadel in their top-of-the-line N1A model has been completed at a Golf Club in Lima.

The project, born from the partnership with Sportek Group, is undoubtedly a great source of pride both because of the historical carat of the sports complex and because we are among the first padel court manufacturers ever to ride the Padel-Golf trend.

“We have always been looking for an innovative product, of the highest quality and able to provide the best in terms of performance and safety, so the choice could only fall on NXPadel and its Fiberglass courts. The installation was super easy and the end result is perfect.”

These are the words ofOscar vega, CEO of Sportek, who together with his team finished the work in less than a week supported also by our supervisors.

The choice of colors for the Fiberglass structure was also interesting and non-trivial: in fact, for the occasion, a customization was requested in dark green tones to which a bright green ZeroS https://www.nxpadel.com/en/zeros was added. In short, a project that leaves nothing to chance, designed so that Golf and Padel are in full harmony also in terms of colors.

What else to add? We hope that this is just the beginning and that, as early as in the coming months, we can see many more projects where Padel and Golf complement and complement each other mutually benefiting each other and growing the entire padel ecosystem even more.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
