The tournaments follow one another but are not the same for Alix Collombon and Julieta Bidahorria who take the front door in Asuncion. Already beaten in the first round of P1 in Riyadh (with Amanda Girdo) by Teresa Navarro (42) and Ariadna Cañellas (49), Alix lost for the second time this season against the Spanish pair. It's the end of French hopes in this Paraguayan tournament.

Able to shake Virginia Riera (12) and Sofia Araujo (10) in the round of 2 of Sevilla PXNUMX, Alix Collombon and Julieta Bidahorria finally seemed ready to launch their season on the Premier Padel. But unfortunately for them, the Lyonnaise and her partner had a poor match this Tuesday for their entry into the running in Paraguay.

Broken from the start by Teresa Navarro and Ariadna Cañellas who played their luck to the fullest, the six-time French champion and her teammate did not panic and recovered the score in the next game. But behind, the Spanish once again took the service of their opponents and confirmed in stride.

While Ari and Teresa were leading 3/1, a lighting problem forced both pairs to wait a little while on the bench. This break ultimately did not change the course of the game, with the Spanish remaining solid in their commitments to win the first round.

The second set would start in the same way with Cañellas and Navarro breaking from the start. Committing far too many mistakes, the Franco-Argentinian pair would find themselves trailing 5 games to 2. A burst of pride would allow Alix and Julieta to return to the match, but this too late awakening would not change the outcome of the meeting.

More solid, Ariadna Cañellas and Teresa Navarro won 6/4 6/4 and qualified for the second round, where they will meet Jessica Castello and Claudia Jensen, who had to fight to dismiss Caparros / Barrera in 2h30: 6/7 6 /3 6/1.

Bidahorria and Collombon now have a week to learn the lessons of this defeat and prepare as best they can for the P1 in Mar del Plata, a tournament which will be played at home for Julieta!
