Dylan Guichard et Bastien Blanqué have won the Franco-French duel during the first round of previas Premier Padel Asuncion P2. The French pair won in two sets against Thomas Leygue and the Spanish Alvaro Montiel ; 7/6 (3) 6/3.

Blanqué and Guichard played a very solid match to take out the French number 1 and his partner. However, Dylan Guichard admits, on Instagram, that this meeting was very hard emotionally for him, because he was playing against “a big friend".

It is them, however, who qualify for the second round of previas. The least we can say is that it is not an easy ride who awaits the two French people, since they meet the young people pibes : Tino Libaak and Leo Augbsburger. A pair that the French duo had already met during the GNP Mexico P1. As a reminder, the Frenchies were just a hair away from the feat against the Argentinians. It is therefore the revenge which will be played out on the slopes in Paraguay. Start of the meeting around 13:30 p.m. (18:30 p.m. in France).

Carla Toully and her partner Carla Fito Fernandez will also start their first round of previas today. Strong things await the Franco-Spanish pair since they will play seed 2 of these qualifications: Carmen Castillon Gamez and Raquel Piltcher.

The two Carlas will play fourth rotation of the day, therefore rather at the end of the day in Paraguay (and at night in France).

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
